To be fair, that headline isn't accurate. What they're saying is that white people use "the desire to learn truth" as a cover for allowing what the protesters consider hate speech. It's not that there's no truth, it's that they already KNOW what the truth is, and there's no reason to bring someone in who's going to disagree with them.

A feminist friend of mine suggested putting the girl next to the bull, facing the world side-by-side, which I thought was a pretty cool idea.

"A 21-year-old Spanish college student has been sentenced to a year in prison for a series of jokes about the 40-year-old assassination of a successor to Spanish Dictator Francisco Franco.

Cassandra Vera, a student from the south-eastern region of Muricia, Spain could spend a year in prison for joking on Twitter about the 1973 assassination of Admiral Luis Carrero Blanco, who was Franco’s successor, The Guardian reported.

The assassination was committed by a radical separatist group called Basque Homeland and Liberty (Eta). Some historians have noted that the murder of Blanco was instrumental in later establishing democracy in the county.

Back in 2013, Vera tweeted: “Eta launched a policy against official cars combined with a space programme.” Another tweet reads: “Kissinger gave Carrero Blanco a piece of the moon; Eta paid for the trip there.”

Spain’s top criminal court found the student guilty of humiliating victims and glorifying terrorism. In addition to one year in prison, she was also prohibited from taking any job that is publicly funded, such as being a teacher, for seven years....."

In all seriousness, this would have been a way more appropriate, clearer way to send the message that probably would have been not only non-controversial, but probably near universally accepted.

You guys are giving the fearless girl statute way, way too much respect and credibility. The charging bull actually was real street art. The "fearless girl" is a cheap virtue signal-ridden commercial for a passive fund management firm. Link. The two shouldn't be put on the same level. Charging Bull is to the Fearless Girl as the Beatles were to the Monkees.

Well this is interesting. Had to know something like this was coming...

What's to stop a male prison inmate from claiming he's always identified as female, was too afraid to reveal it before, but now feels empowered to make the transition?

There's already famous precedent of this happening with the transition of Bradley to Chelsea Manning. Calling bs on his claim won't hold water nowadays.

Under today's PC 'pick your gender' rules, couldn't said prisoner make the legal transition and then demand to be transferred to a female prison to live among others of 'her' own identifiable sex? If denied, couldn't said inmate then sue for discrimination?

Looks like Canada has a contender. I'd think a transgender in America would have an even greater chance of success due to overwhelming leftist support.

I tell you what, if serving 25 to life, I'd strongly consider wearing a permanent halloween costume to live my days away from ultra-violent male monsters.

Manning was hardly the first to pull that ****. Look at Kosilek in Massachusetts and the handful of them in California. Also a few federal inmates trying to claim 'laydee feelz.' There was also a child killer in New York that lit the kid on fire after the murder if I remember the facts correctly (that one was a poster child tauted by "Laverne" Cox.

Facebook removed a post for having a naked woman in it.

The user told Facebook that the woman identified as a man.

So Facebook then apologized, of course

Not a parody. I saw the BBC show on this. They actually think it's unreasonable for a straight guy not want to get with a "chick" with a penis. Frankly, it's illogical. If gender and normal sexuality are entirely subjective and individualized, then what's wrong with a dude not wanting to date somebody with a penis? That's his personal sexual preference.

What they're claiming is idiotic and illogical on every conceivable level.

Dating preferences come in many forms and with such it also excludes others in many forms. Blond shaming, age shaming, fat shaming, trans shaming, the list would be endless if one is not open to dating every other human in proximity.

Aside from the sexuality preference, it's as simple as the ultimate dating goal for most men is to reproduce with the woman they fall in love with. Two penises can't solve that.

Seems the radical left now views dating as a game and necessary entertainment.

Well, if being unwilling to date trans-"women" puts me in the penis-shaming crowd, then so be it. There's just no amount of clothing, makeup, boob jobs, body hair waxing, etc. that's going to make a normal straight guy get past the fact that this so-called "chick" has a penis. Unless you're a gay guy, that's always going to be a deal-breaker.

Yes, he actually believes that crap...although much of the wrath from trans about not sleeping with them is directed at the lesbians that won't sleep with them because, umm...yeah, that penis thing. The trans contingent rarely rails on the males that won't sleep with them for the same reason.

They tend to do everything they can to show how ludicrous their positions are...

You clearly don't understand that being attracted to people of the same or similar or variant sexes is a choice. It's something that you can do if you're willing to apply the discipline to change the way you view those other people in a non-bigoted mindset. Except if you already feel that way, in which case you were born that way and there's nothing that can be done to change whether you're attracted to those people or not. Unless you were born straight. Because that makes you bigoted. Unless you become open-minded. And then you're not straight anymore. Unless you are.

    Seriously. Get with the program.

I wonder if the "scene" in the Crying Game would have the same emotional impact now as it did to audiences in 1992?

The particular thing I saw (this is just a clip from it) shamed the men.

However, I'm sure lesbians get plenty of flack as well, because the dynamic is the same. Frankly, it's just baffling to me. The idea that some people think the anatomy should be irrelevant to sexuality is absurd beyond description. At least from a mechanical standpoint, it's everything.

And not to be graphic, but even if I could get past the penis problem, I'm not even sure exactly what I'd do or be expected to do. Would you do the same things that gay men do? That seems wrong since supposedly it's not gay sex since the trans-woman supposedly isn't a man, and since I'm straight, I don't want to do those things. And since the anatomy isn't there to do what a man generally does with a woman, I'd be somewhat at a loss. Maybe I'm too much of a prude, but it at least seems like something's missing in this equation.
