Horns host the Movin Mavs of UT Arlington tonight at the Disch. Texas showed up in a couple of the polls this week at 24/25 and is trending towards a tourny berth. Preview from texassports.

4-1 Horns

 

It was more of a struggle than it should have been, but a "W" is a "W".

 

UTA had been on something of a streak and last year the Horns lost games like this so good to get this win. Texas now sits at 31-16. The difference this year is the mid week games where Texas is 11-2 with one game left against Incarnate Word next week.

Didn't we lose or get swept in every conference series last year too? That's not the case this year.

 

VolHorn, Texas went 10-14 in conference last year and actually won series against TCU, Tech, Kansas and K-State (all 2-1). The problem last year was getting swept by Okie State and WVU and losing series to Baylor and OU. The bigger problem was a terrible OOC record at 12-16 which included just right over .500 in those mid week games. You may be thinking of 2013 when the Horns didnt win a single conference series and didn't even make Big XII tournament.
