USC Group Tickets

    Hey Guys,

I have a deal for a large block of seats for the USC game. This block of tickets are being held in my name through the USC Box Office. Seats are in Section 26 in the upper rows (79-85) for $115 each.

These seats are cheaper (as this is a group rate) and better located than the UT allotment (in my opinion). It's really a sweet deal. I spoke to Dionysus and he suggested I throw this out to our HornFans family. So, the details are you're buying the mini-pack....1 ticket to UT game ($80) + 1 seat to the Western Michigan game ($35)....thus, total = $115/seat. Of course, you can try and sell the WM tickets, but you may not even care because the total price will be cheaper than through the UT away-game order form. There are plenty of seats available in this group, but it's first-come-first serve....this is day-to-day.

If you are interested, please PM me. I am still working out the payment details. FYI, I am NOT making any money on this! I thought it wold be cool to have another Longhorn section! Feel free to post here with any general questions....

    Hook'Em....BEAT USC!!

Seems like a good deal. Thanks @Buck-Horn for making the effort.

To reiterate: This is not a marked-up deal or a money-maker for anyone here. Just a good dude being a proper Longhorn. :hookem:

    Buck,

It would be a nice gesture if everyone doing this was to donate their WMU tickets to some youth group in SoCal to allow underprivileged kids to go to a game.

Great job on your part to put this together.

Here's the deal HornFans....very simple!! If you want tickets, just contact Ben with USC ticket office (see below) and tell him you're with my group (Edmund Buckley). You can just pay USC directly & Ben will either mail you hard tickets or email e-tickets. I hope we can get a large group...and do a HF tailgate!

And please feel free to forward to others who might need tickets....

I'm staying near Anaheim, but if I could afford it I would stay in Santa Monica. The metro rail runs directly from there to downtown. I understand parking near the LAC is outrageously high!!

In that "area", the only thing I can suggest is the National Guard Armory, but I think they moved out several years ago. Seriously, this us USC, the only school in America with burglar bars on the football dorm.

I would suggest The Peoples Republic of Santa Monica - Lowe's Santa Monica Beach Hotel, The Fairmont property, the Marriott. All are next to the beach and are walking distance to Venice Beach, which is the cheapest "show" in SoCal, not to mention some of the best and definitely cheapest food in LA.

If you want pure concrete commercial, the Hyatt or Marriott on Ave of the Stars. Marvin Davis did a great job on those properties. Then there's always the Beverly Hilton & Beverly Wilshire.

Parking around Exposition is not plentiful, but trying to get a cab at 11 PM down there is not like getting one in Pasadena. Suggest using something like Uber & giving him half the hundred dollar bill and the other half when he picks you up after the game or taking a rent car really early.

Update on the tickets from Ben @ USC box office....

    Hey Edmund,

I have gotten a pretty good amount of interest and have definitely sold some of the seats! Looks like your location has become our “best available” in the stadium just since the time you and I first spoke and got the seat block. Keep sending people my way and hopefully we can fill up all of those rows!

    Have a great weekend Edmund!

Texas Exes Hotel is the downtown Sheraton Grand. But I generally agree with Sabre, there is no good place in the LA area....not my favorite place to visit!!! Better pack your "heat"!!:whiteflag::hookem:

But the LAPD frowns on a 50 cal mounted on the back of a Hummer. They also take a dim view of granade launchers on the 110.

Finally ordered my tickets today. Ben said he was helping look for a youth organization to donate the WMU tickets then said he also suggests just posting on stub hub.

Id rather give them away so If anyone comes up with a worthy cause please post here.

Regarding the suggestion that tickets be donated, USC actually has a program called Trojan Turnback listed on their website...

    What is Trojan Turnback?

Trojan Turnback is a program that allows USC fans to return tickets they will not be able to use to the USC Athletic Department. These tickets are then given away to local charity and non-profit groups that would otherwise not be able to attend USC events. This great program allows USC Athletics to improve game day atmosphere by filling the seats with Trojan fans, while also helping out deserving groups from the USC area.

    https://ev10.evenue.net/evenue/linkID=usc/images/pdfs/TrojanTransfer_2011_FAQ.pdf

Since I ordered my tickets as part of the group I haven't been able to actually do it, but I emailed to ask for login info so that I could. Perhaps there's a way to do it for all of the group that would be easier. I can't imagine there will be much of a demand for Western Michigan tickets...

I spoke to Ben at the USC ticket office today about this. So, as I get more info on this, I will report back. Also, he mentioned that there are 12 seats left in the Sec 26 block, but is holding another block in 27.

Also, would like to start up some dialogue on a tailgate. The season will be upon us in the blink of an eye!! Stay tuned and Hook 'em Horns!! :hookem::bevo::coolnana:

    Buck,

You need to check with the CHP before planning the tailgate. Do they allow 50 cals mounted on a truck. Is there a limit to number of 50 cals you can bring? You might consider visiting with USC about which direction their guns will be covering to avoid crossfire and duplication of efforts.

Update: Talked to Ben today. Tix going fast! A few left left in Sec 26. Sec 27 almost sold out too. He is told by management they expect to sell out by the time single game tix go on sale in July.

    Let's get tailgate convo going....
