Texas has a great RPI but that wont overcome finishing sixth in the conference. Texas used to be able to buy a regional every year back in the day when not many schools had the facilities to host a regional but that isn't the case anymore. TCU and Tech will both host, its hard to see the Big XII getting a third regional.
Horns get a chance to improve that RPI a little more as they get TCU in the semifinals with two shots to advance to the championship game. Game today is at 12:30.
One of the mysteries of life: We can watch repeated showings of the UT Spring fashion show and shows on insight into UT Crew on LHN, but not UT baseball games in the Big XII conference tournament? WTF?
Do we host if we win tomorrow? Way to go Horns!! I am liking the trajectory of our men's sports. What a job by Pierce!!
Hard to beat a team five times and Texas finally gets one against TCU. I still don't think even if they win today that the Horns have a chance to host but would love to be wrong. I guess this is the rainout game from the Stillwater series and now the Horns get their chance for a sweep. Baylor is sweating this game as they would be the sixth Big XII team in and OSU might swipe their berth so the Bears fans should be throwing up their Horns today.

Announcers making strong case to host...better shut up...don't jinx us! But I think a W will bring a regional to UFCUDFF!
Yeah, looks like the 16 regionals/hosts are announced 830 tonight, with full 64 team field tomorrow, right?
Horns lose a competitive game, 6-5. Horns had runners in scoring position in last 3 innings, but could not get one more run across. This is the 15th one run loss of the season.
I fear we might end up in the following regional. 1. U of H (AAC regular season and tournament champ) 2. UT 3. Texas A&M 4. Rice (C-USA tournament champ). It is possible A&M dropped out the NCAA tournament with the Rice and Okie State upsets, but the committee tends to be pro SEC/ACC and anti-Big 12/Pac12 (despite the Pac12 being historically the best conference) and probably drops Baylor or OU out instead of A&M.
Why was Gurwitz not playing CF the past 3 games? I thought he must be hurt but he pinch hit today and they left him in to run. The clueless Fox guys never mentioned it. That is a big dropoff defensively in CF IMO.
