Unfortunately Texas High looks like Tennessee not Texas. Arkansas High on the other hand looks like the real deal.
Was gonna say... No one outside the 40 acres ever gets the orange right. Frankly we don't get it right a lot of the time, either.
Back in the day that NE Texas dist 14 4A then 5A was tough........Texarkana (Texas High), Marshall, Longview, John Tyler, Tyler Lee, Nacogdoches and Lufkin.
I agree, we look to much like fake UT to much of the time. You would think we could get Burnt Orange right and keep it right.
The UT official color guide is published for everyone to see and check Pantone, CMYK, RGB, and Hex palettes. There’s no reason to not get this right. brand.utexas.edu/visual-identity/colors
Heck, even Herman kind of goofed on the color at ESPN the other day. During a roundtable interview he was asked about his grading scheme for his players --- something about some individual color for each player like blue (great), green (okay, needs work), red (unacceptable). He corrected them, --- "it's crimson, not red." They all laughed, asking if it was a dig at OU and he responded something like "Well, I imagine they've got some grading in which orange is the similar grade." Uh, not to pick, but on the subject of this thread, it's burnt orange. oSu wears orange, day glo UT wears day glo orange, VT is puke purple and orange, Syracuse is orange. Texas is burnt orange. He's got "hook 'em" down 100% right. Now, get the color right.
Missed the point. The equivalent OU comment would be if their HC would refer to their colors as red and white instead of crimson and cream. Texas' colors are burnt orange and white, not orange and white. Got it?
