    Je suis Charlie...non?

I guess in Texas, you're just racist with no propriety who's stupdity wastes taxpayers money.

But if you're French (who I love btw), you're a heroic satirist.

    Pourquoi?

Hopefully the people involved with that contest have good security 24/7. This event proves there are cells of people here in the country ready to suicide themselves for their beliefs.

The artist that won the award last night, Bosch Fawstin, is an Albanian former muslim. He's a graphic artist who after rejecting Islam dealt with his struggles with the religion through his art. He apparently has a comic book about superheroes dressed up in pigskin practicing "pigotry." He's stated that Islam intollerance of homosexuality was another reason to draw Mohammed. The guy recently spoke at the University of Baltimore Law School to discuss Islam, art, and the First Amendment.

This guy certainly doesn't fit the redneck narrative I've been hearing.

    From the LA Times:

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-texas-shooting-20150503-story.html#page=1

This is one of the times when the government is needed to keep the peoples separate from other peoples who would do violence to prevent unwarranted, over-reacting, vigilantism vs the target group.

Is it harsh, as in "being harshly critical of Islam", to point out that proponents of Islam, like ISIS/ISIL or Al Quieda, are a threat? If they are not a threat then what are they? Why is it harsh to be critical of people who openly state they desire to kill you or people like you?(assuming you are a Christian, assuming you are talking about the proponents who are strictly interpreting the Koran's meaning of infidels to include believers like Christians(which is not generally the case in the history of Islam)) Scores of people are being killed just for not submitting themselves to Islam.(insert X amount of news stories)

Are we so politically correct that any criticism directed at Islam is considered "harsh"? Ridicule is needed, when appropriate.

It seems amazing that a single policeman armed with a revolver was able to gun down two assailants who had body armor and rifles. Praises to the policeman, his trainers and whoever made his pistol and ammo. Not many of us are called on, against the odds, to put our life on the line to defend free speech. The officer's calm, courage and skill are admirable.

Harmful ideas, no matter how "sacred" they may be to the adherent, deserve nothing less than ridicule and contempt.

The Southern Poverty Law Center IS A HATE GROUP!

Notice that our President, who is so quick to stick his nose into most things, is laying low on this one? He's letting his attack dogs; MSNBC and the like do the heavy lifting of painting the intended victims as the villains and the terrorists as unable to help themselves because their prophet was slandered.

I say Pamela Gellar is an American Hero. I may even whoop out the checkbook and make a donation to the AFDI.

Because Charlie Hebdo's political agenda is favored by the media. Pam Geller's is not. (Personally, I don't like either one.)

Yes, you may poke fun at muslims in an attempt to antagonize them, but you must do so as an elitist and not a redneck.

Agree with you on Pamella Gellar there Clean. Saw her do an interview where she ripped counter point person to shreds. Wouldn't want to be her husband in an argument.

Seems the wannabe's forgot that Garland PD knows gun control means hitting what you aim at and also has no problems with ISIS meaning "I Saw, I Shot."

Quick vid of FBI interview with Floyd Corkins, (the Family Research Council shooter) admitting he used the SPLC's website to find his targets

FBI: "How did you find this building?"
FRC Shooter: "SPLC lists anti-gay groups. I found them online."

Among the 'hate groups' shown by the SPLC on their website are churches for opposing the legalization of gay marriage

Can you guess the group locations not drawn on the SPLC maps?

More than half my life ago I attended a Klan rally near Smithville Texas, reporting for a semi-weekly newspaper. Klan Watch was also in attendance. While Klan members were heavily armed, the only altercations were verbal. I caught an exchange between a slow-talking Klansman and a sharp-tongued Klan Watcher I identified as a Midwesterner by her accent. He insulted her and then she fired back. Poor guy, in a battle of wits, she had him vastly outgunned ... Uzi to a single shot .22 outgunned. He left his post and walked away from her.
