So, we'll be playing four games coming up soon in Australia. They don't appear to be televised-- does anyone know otherwise? What good is the Longhorn Network if it won't even televise things like this?
Apparently, only streaming, if even that. https://www.barkingcarnival.com/201...l-goes-down-under-to-australia-dont-be-a-perv
The game last year between the Dandenong Rangers and the University of Washington is available on Just search for "Dandenong Rangers". Several of their games on on You Tube, so, apparently, they like the exposure and not worried about copyright rights.
The game was streamed live. Didn't get to watch a lot, but from what I did, this should be a big improvement over last year's rendition. O (the player) was very active and Bamba took it the length of the court by himself. Announcers made mention of KD. Sorry I can't give you more. Oh, the horns scored in the 90s and won by about 10. Didn't have final.
96-84. You can go back and watch it, the feed is on AAS. I think you will be impressed with the knowledge of the announcers and the fans also. Oh, and Bamba can shoot the 3. Nice alley oop early. Maybe too early to tell, but Bamba just might be a big upgrade from Jarrett Allen.
Horns lost today to a more seasoned Melbourne United team. They did hang tough. Did not get to watch a lot of it so no scouting report to speak of. I kept checking the score, Horns were down pretty big early but they fought back throughout the game but never could overcome the big lead. I still have a good feeling about this team. I hope horn fans get behind them come basketball season.
Watched the feed of the first game, and have become even more excited about what I saw from Osetkowski. Dude is going to be a beast.
Doesn't hurt with Bamba protecting the rim also. I tell you what, dudes should be getting some wide open chances at 3's. Hopefully they shoot them a lot better than last year. Also, could Osetkowski and Bamba be the second coming of Mike Wacker and Lasalle Thompson? That team could have been special!
I just watched the highlights of the games and I see a completely different team from last year, a much, much better one. Coleman looks as advertised and my god Sims is a rim rocker. Big O had some NBA level post moves too. But they still went 1-2, maybe defense is more suspect. Does anyone know how other college teams have performed against teams in that league?
