I still think that polling was contrived. I know I live in Texas where my colleagues and friends are very similar to me, but I still believe strongly that had this gone to an actual vote we wouldn't have gay marriage. People, especially young people, are sheep and they jump on board when they think the ship has sailed. By pushing their polling (I mean propaganda), the MSM convinced America the issue was much more settled than it really was. We know there is a HUGE difference in how middle American sees these issues than there is on the west coast. dollars to donuts these polls were all conducted in and around San Francisco and Seattle and not Dallas and Ft Worth.
What's funny is they were reporting leading up to the election that there's a chance that Trump might lose several red states that the GOP usually have a strong hold on only for Hillary to lose several Blue states that the Dems normally have a strong hold on for many years. Must be the dishonest media polling results that they clang to.

As for the American taxpayer having to pay for the wall instead of Mexico, I never thought for a minute that Mexico would pay for it. Trump was just pushing Mexico's buttons. We're already 19 Trillion in debt (about 10 trillion of that was on Obama's watch). A couple of billion to build the wall is a drop in the ocean and it might actually pay for itself in the long run by helping to keep out illegals or at least discouraging some of them from coming. Certainly it will make it more difficult/expensive for them to get here.
