After watching the Alabama game last night versus Florida State, I realized that the only way to accurately rank/view an incoming recruiting class is to ask this question: "How many of you turned down a scholarship offer from Alabama?" Or, "How many of you notified Nick Saban that you will attend The University of Texas instead of Alabama?" Bore me all day with 5-Star and 4-Star ratings. If Alabama wanted you, then you must be legit! Especially on the defensive side of the ball. I would love to know how many of our current players turned down Alabama.

For certain, when UT played Alabama in 2009, of the 22 starters on U of A team, only 4 could get into UT. This is the main reason aTm joining the SEC was such a terrible idea for all but SEC. The legislature isn't inclined to let either school recruit 'semi-pro' vacation athletes. The three routine 'safety schools' for Texas HS underperformers are LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss. Or as they say around hear, "get your grades up or your guns up."

I don't doubt you, but what's the source so I can make fun of my AL cousins?
