I got to wondering how and who the other Big 12 schools are recruiting since Texas will be facing those players beginning in 2018.

I didn't know that Shae is now in Houston. Thought she (and her mom) were still in Austin.

Looks like at least half the teams are getting some height in the post and in the wings.

ESPN's information on Shae is really old. It looks like she has transferred from Reagan to Akins though (Erica is listed as the head coach on their website).

On the Baylor message boards, a couple of their posters seem to think they have two more commitments coming from the group of Scott-Grayson, Acosta, Egbo and Taylor Chavis. Not sure if that info is reliable but that's some of the chatter.

Let's hope they are as delusional about this as they are about what was allowed to happen on that campus for years (Briles) as well as their academic reputation ("Harvard on the Brazos").

Googled the current rosters for Reagan and Akins. Reagan does not have their roster up and Akins has only a partial roster. Neither has Shae listed. It may be too early for that. I will keep looking.

Assumption on my part about Shae - her mother is coaching there and Shae's Twitter profile says 'Akins High School'.

TCU heading to California for players. Frogs have two verbals for 2018, both from the Golden State.

As noted in the 2018 recruiting thread, Shae Routt has decommitted from the Horns' 2018 class.

DeCosta and Scott-Grayson both committed to Baylor.

Not too much of surprise once they both decided to make their announcements at the same exact time.

I've said before that Kim Mulkey is dangerously efficient when she gets a player's last official visit: Cox, Smith, Decosta, and Scott-Grayson are just a few she's convinced to give her their last official visit (although Scott-Grayson could have still taken 2 more visits).

There will be some great battles ahead. Looking forward to it.

What was this thing about "2 silent commits" to Baylor we heard so much about? I presume it was these two. If you make a silent commitment, why go through the charade of other visits? Just to be sure? Who knows. I never understood the terminology and found it pretty annoying.

I agree about the great battles ahead. WBB hasn't had a GREAT rivalry since Tennessee/UConn. I'm looking forward to Texas/Baylor being THE game that everyone wants to see! :hookem2:

I have a deep-seeded dislike of Baylor that predates the recent heinous actions of the BU athletic department and even Mulkey’s behavior/antics so I would rather it be any other big 12 university, even OU (sucks).

With recent departures and commitments, Texas should have a decided front court advantage vs BU after Kalani departs. The matchups at the wings, on paper, would seem to favor the Bears.

I would agree that the front court looks to be in our favor....BUT....I might disagree a little that the wing situation favors them. If Rellah Boothe slides over to the 3 like I think is possible, then you add Littleton (leading scorer in nation), throw in Patterson at the point or wing AND Alecia Suttonat PG for 2 years, I'm not so sure they have the advantage. Then, you have still have LaShann for one year (2018) and Jada for two more. Littleton is the wildcard because I have a sneaky suspicion that she is going to be quite special. She is a very physical guard with good size and can score in a multitude of ways. AND, if we get Christyn Williams....well, that would speak for itself.. Let's put it this way, I wouldn't trade our situation for theirs. No way. I'm quite pleased with what Karen and staff have assembled. She can pretty much match up with anyone. This is going to be fun. OH....and I share your disdain for Baylor~~~

It appears we all have similar feelings about Baylor and their dear coach. But I guess that makes it even more fun. It gets me more worked up anyway. I agree, it will be an unprecedented grudge rivalry, preceded at this level only by UConn-Tennessee. UConn-Notre Dame didn't reach the intensity this will.

I was doing some head scratching, DFW Horn, about them having the advantage at the wings. I just don't know. They have more size. Richards and Chou have excellent size. Don't know that much about Scott-Grayson. Is she a wing or a point? Morris will be a great point guard, but we won't be too shabby in that department either. I do like our guard corps a lot, and if we should be so lucky to get Williams, that would give us more strength.

Our 1 (or 2) games with UConn and the 2, 3, or 4 games with Baylor this year will make it a heck of an exciting winter, and the next few years won't be any different.

I guess Baylor could do with more "honesty" regardless of which form in comes in.

Something happened if all 3 of those Duncanville players decommitted from Kansas. Either someone influential (coach, parent, advisor, etc.) opened their eyes to something. Or, perhaps the marquee commit, Zarielle Green, decided to de-commit, and the KU coaches told the other two it was all 3 together as a package deal, or none of them.
