Sam came back in on 2nd down 17 yards for first. Then there was a 5 yard penalty making it 22 yards for a first down I believe. Sam ran for 8 yards then the next two were incomplete passes.

Perhaps it's just me ... but when I read "creativity," I understand ... "trickeration" (thanks Mushburger) ... we call it "Milford" (as in Milford Texas, every play is misdirection, blockers left/runner right, run around in the backfield for 6" before even trying to go forward, hitch passes, flea flickers, etc)

No NO NO! ... creativity? How bout fundamental football. Percentage play calls. Block your assignment. See the hole and pump those knees. Sounds easy, I know ... but this is a game of strength not flamboyancy. If we're not strong enough, we fall. Water spiders are amazing in their quickness ... darting around ... but going NOWHERE.

A lot of folks fawn over the "traditional" TT offense. (mad pirate/post) How many championships do they have? How many championships has that style of play earned from any team? Creativity ... razzle dazzle ... fun to watch for some ... but rarely gets a team across the championship line. What is our goal? To be entertained or to win championships?

Sam has produced because he IS legit run/pass threat ... though more running as of late. Our RBs don't have the advantage of being the snap taker and possibly passing. Ears pin-back and here they come ... add too many missed blocking assignments = loss/stuff/1 yard gain.
