Wickline..

Was cussing/discussing our offensive issues with a fellow coaching buddy who is a also a Texas Ex. Curious to know y'all's thoughts on how much culpability Coach Wickline carries for the current lack of depth/ability of our offensive line. 2 years removed isn't that long ago..

 

I see it as attrition and bad luck. I don't see any culpability with respect to Wickline but perhaps someone with more insight or connections might.

 

Our best players he recruited...Williams, Vaje, Cuney, McMillon, Rodriquez, Hodges, Nicholson. Injuries and transfers have hurt

 

Yeah, it’s too remote to have a connection now. Just my thought.

 

Shackelford and Hudson are the only Interior Lineman on scholarship or committed (still in high school) that will not be seniors next year.

We took one interior lineman, Hudson, in 2016, and that was the summer Baylor released Hudson because of Briles.

We took zero Interior Lineman last year in Herman's first class.

We have zero Interior Lineman committed in our current recruiting class.

It's hard to blame Wickline for our current state.
