I said this on HP's "Grade" thread, but I'm convinced Sam was throwing to Leonard in the back of the end zone and simply made a really bad throw under significant pressure, throwing across his body. Sam's decision making in this game didn't cost us ... play calling and ... yeah, his last missed execution did.
To clarify, Sam said 5 minutes after the game that he was throwing to Heard, and thought Heard would make a move (not run out of bounds). It's an OK thought ; I just think it is way too risky in that context)
Thanks ... I didn't get to hear the post-game interviews and I fouled-up my DVR ... set to record LHN's recast rather than the ABC live broadcast (DirectTV's app is MUCH more difficult to work than DISH I'll probably be going back since I've not seen a "bundle" discount with the wireless phone/internet). sigh. So ... I'm just out of the loop. I will note after watching the game on the DVR, however, Heard was PUSHED OOB ... he didn't run out of bounds. The separation Leonard had with the vector of the pass ... just simply too short and too lofty. But hey, I'm not Sam. If that's what he said ... then it was just a bad error ... and probably another missed PI on OSU.
