Oklahoma State fell to Duke 7-0.

Baylor also advanced on penalty kicks over USC. They will face Norte Dame Sunday as well.

West Virginia also used penalty kicks to advance over Rutgers and will face Penn State Sunday.

Of five teams that made it into the NCAAs (Texas, Baylor, West Virginia, TCU and Oklahoma State, three have advanced to round three, all on penalty kicks. :coolnana:

I think we need to play tough and fast today. Definitely will need a good defensive effort and we must score early to hopefully put pressure on them cause they have proved to be able to score the ball. We are not in this game by accident, we earned it. Let's own it!!

What was final? Duke and NC in a different league of their own.

Let me first say I am so proud of Texas Soccer. The ladies have nothing to hang their heads about. Now I thought it was great that our young team got to see what championship soccer looks like. Duke played an amazing game. I think we will be so much better in the years to come cause of it. Thank you Texas Soccer, it was an amazing season!!

Horns drop this Sweet Sixteen game to Duke by the score of 0-3.

For a team that was selected to finish 8th in the league by the coaches, they far exceeded expectations. They should learn from playing one of the top teams in the nation, especially since about half the team, and quite a few of the main players, are freshmen and sophomores.

Quite a run the Horns had this season. No doubt they are disappointed, but they went further than any other team has in years. And the future looks bright as a ton of experience and talent returns next season.

Congrats to the team and coaches.:hookem2:

Great season ladies. Enjoyed getting to attend a couple games this year and looking forward to more next year. Shock of shocks my son and grandson were retiring from a soccer tournament in NC and boarded same return flight as the girls. Was a real treat. Wish I had been there. Son said he was able to 'chat' with them for awhile.
