I'd rather have Baker Mayfield or LaVar Ball.

Not even if I was hiring a HC for Northbrook Middle School.

As far as a national championship, Kiffin can buy a ticket like every other spectator, because that's as close as he'll get.

As for his offense, it's all Kendall Briles, and no Lane Kiffin.

I would not even like for that grade A p.o.s. To be a coordinator here much less a head coach and I feel sorry for any other program that would ( except for Oklahoma or aggy- it would serve them right)

Yeah, but he really stunk it up at Tennessee and USC.

Not the point. If you constantly look at the past you will miss the future. Watch the video

I don't see how that one ESPN story that puts him in a good light could ever overshadow the dumpster-fire that Tenn and USC were under his leadership. I hope the aggies buy it, tho.

He took FAU from 3-9 to 8-3 so far, FAU!
chance to win 10 games at FAU in his first year
    undefeated in conference
one of the best offensive play callers in CFB
learned three years under the GOAT Saban
    shows more maturity --see video
Someone will hire him and win for a long time
Hope it is not at a@m or okstate if Gundy leaves or at Texas tech

I think Lane Kiffin is a pretty good coach. I don't know that I'd want him as the head coach at UT. I think he's kind of douchey.

I think he and Charlie have shown they can coach. Can they make a top program a perennial contender, maybe some day? Maybe. I don't think they can now though.

Charlie Strong is 57 years old, so he is running out of time in his prime coaching years. Mack Brown won his title at 54 years old. Nick Saban won his at 51. Dabo Swinney was 46. Jimbo Fisher was 48. Gene Chizik was 49. Les Miles was 54. Urban Meyer was 42. We got Charlie in his prime and he had three 7 loss seasons. USF will likely be his last coaching job.

Lane Kiffin is only 42 and has time. HOWEVER, winning at FAU does not prove anything as far as coaching at a higher level. Howard Schnellenberger won at FAU, so it is not some impossible job. If you go look at Conference USA, the competition is bad. It is way worse than the AAC where Strong coached/coaches. In non conference Kiffin got killed by a down Navy team and lost to a bad Buffalo. I mean Frank Solich has won at Ohio and there are countless examples of coaches getting fired and winning at lower levels. Some coaches like Strong and Kiffin can do well in lower conferences, but are not major program coaches. Kiffin will probably get another shot to prove he can ruin a major program.

I believe Kiffin *already* proved he cannot do it at a school of national prominence. Two schools, in fact.

If Lane Kiffin was worth a ****, his agent would already have 5-10 interviews. He ain't gettin' a sniff, otherwise UCLA would have have him in their top five, instead they only know him as one of USC's mistakes.

He shows a lot of maturity by tweeting while driving and even takes both hands off the steering wheel to gesticulate a little while the car is moving.

Yes, I watched the video and he comes across as a narcissistic jerk. I can see why Carroll and Saban liked him so much and why he would hire Kendall Briles. Do they have white girls at FAU?

Kiffin is the King of pompous asses but his record as a college coach is pretty good. He's too immature to lead a Power 5 conference program though.

Really? Before this year he was 35-21 in NCAA and 5-15 in the NFL. He left Tennessee a dumpster fire and got run out of USC. It's not like he turned around his current team as he took over a pretty solid group. He'll have that team playing mediocre football in a couple years and they'll wonder why they gave him a 10 year deal.

He lost to mighty buffalo this year and the only other two decent teams on the schedule...Navy 42-19 and Wisconsin 31-14.

They have a count down to Oklahoma.....OU will make Lame Kitten purrrrr and cry.
