Considering we could just as easily be 9 and 2 yes.

I read somewhere this morning going into this game we’ve had the second toughest schedule in the nation only behind Florida St.

Which judging from what FSU has done this year makes our record look pretty good...

We need to schedule Mercer toward the end of the season to show how tough we are

Honestly scheduling one of your weak ooc teams late in the year makes a lot of sense, but it's a lot easier to do when you have 4 ooc games a year instead of 3.

Hey, don't knock Mercer Football. They only have one less national championship than aggy.

Mercer? Seriously! When I heard that Hurts was 7 for 7 with 180 yards and 3 touchdowns to start the game my thoughts were 1- give Alabama the chpionship now and 2- give Hurts the hHeisman now. Game over.

Seriously that is shameful. Good thing shame is not something that the SEC SEC SEC understands.

Enjoyed the win, but, lose your QB and it's tough to score. Lucky break (no pun) for us.

One of Charlie's biggest oversights was failure to bring in a Junior level transfer QB. We have not had an experienced Division I level guy in years. Start a Freshman, you lose at least two winnable games.

Or two. We've got the best punter in the nation. Doesn't he know a guy or know a guy who knows a guy? Good grief.

Mercer was a late addition to the Bama schedule. The Tide was going to play William and Mary, but W&M begged off after Mary tore her ACL during spring practice.

With a healthy William I say they still give Bama a game.

Lol no we might be the most average of the 6-6 teams. We are exactly what our record says we are.

We're 3-9 if we play anyone superior to almost winless BU, KU, and San Jose St.

I was (sort of) joking when I started this post, but don't feel it's that funny anymore. Will be interested to see what bowl we get/who we play. Next year Herman will have seen what all of these guys are capable of and will hopefully choose sooner rather than later who will start and stick to it. I feel like this year was a test-run/sample or "what do I have" situation. Next year Herman can't afford the week-to-week stuff.

I thought he shuttled players too much week to week. I predict we will see transfers in offseason that will make things clearer. I think (except for Foreman) there was a lot of “bled for the program” playing time. I don’t think we’ll see as much of that next season.

I think the more serious question is, does this 6-6 inaugural season scare off some recruits? And does the bowl result have such impact? If my son was an elite QB or RB, I think I’d advise him to shop around and consider whether his potential college coach can help mold him into a better player, student & man. So far, TH has not pursuaded me that UT is the best choice for such a kid.

I’m banking on the Longhorn brand inspiring players coming here to make Texas great again. Please don’t yell at me for getting close to a West Mall comment.

Yeah, the debate would be "are we the best 6-6 team is the B12." We sure weren't Friday night.
