Charlie came and tried his best (I think), did not embarrass the university, and left (fired) with one crappy remark (cake). I do not understand all the hatred thrown his way or why people keep talking about him and Brown.

I'd like to hear that Tceh's band won halftime...attorney across the hall from me has a kid that is a freshman in the band. She left Wednesday enroute to Birmingham so that she could make a stop in New Orleans...I guess being half-lit will take the sting out of the football team getting drilled LOL!

One of the very few bowls without a commercial in the name.

I took South Florida in the pick up contest so have to root for Charlie.

I hope it turns out like the USF and UCF game man that was a fun one to watch. I will be going back and forth between that one and the high school games then head out to see Allen vs LT

Yesterday there were more band members than fans in the stands. Not a lot better today but enough where they can be heard.

yeah, I don't understand the ire against Charlie either. Move on. It's not like he was a Barry Switzer who arrived to sabotage the program.

    Go USF!

I’ll just leave this right here, I have a very close friend who runs a nonprofit who worked with Charlie On a somewhat regular basis. My buddy has always said that Charlie Strong is one of the finest human beings he’s ever known so why doesn’t everybody just Grow Up about Strong.

You “wish”? Go find some cowboy and post. lol.
Filed under the gross exaggeration file, common here.
Per Austin Business Journal Dec 2016...
    CS last year, cowboy....
While the Longhorns finished the season with a losing 5-7 record, average attendance at the six home games was 97,881, up 8.7 percent from 2015. That included a stadium record 102,315 who saw Texas beat Notre Dame 50-47 on Sept. 4 in the season opener.
Only one school among the country's top 25 for attendance grew at a faster rate year over year: Iowa, where attendance was up 10.3 percent this year.

USF has a decent passer. ttu's pass defense is not good. doesn't bode well for tech

    Booo clickbait titles.

That said, exciting 4th quarter. Tech lead 24-17 until Quentin Flowers rushed for a TD to tie it. Tech got ahead with a field goal and then USF immediately answered with a long bomb for their first lead. And now with 1:31 to go, TJ Vasher just scored to put the Raiders back on top 34-31

Well certainly an exciting game. Stupid penalty by Fl but only 15 seconds left.

TD South Florida. 16 seconds left. Flowers is 17/34 passing for 311 yards, 4 scores, 0 interceptions. But they will have to kick from their own 20...

Unless they are counting the butts in the seats (and usually they are not), "attendance" numbers really aren't accurate.

    Charlie's Bulls win 38-34.

And I agree, thread title here sucks.

Paid seats are what is counted.

Just like this year the official attendance was way higher than the butts in seat count.

Turned out to be a good game.

Nice win for Charlie, although I was hoping Tech won.

Any “hatred” for either coach is mostly frustration with results at the end of Brown’s time here and the entirety of Strong’s. No one thinks that either coach is nothing less than a solid person that everyone likes. Texas plays football to win most of their games, not to be on the same level with TCU and Baylor, but compete for the conference title every year (Oklahoma).

God Bless CS, just a little "over his head" but did his best to correct our course in regards to recruits (even though they now want to bail)...

I watched some of the game between the commercials and breaks in the Texas HS Championships. Looked like coach bro' was going to get the win then USF scored with less than a minute left an won 38-34. Between Tech and USF, I could care less, but from what I saw, looked fairly entertaining.
