yep, FSU made one of two FTs with 8+ seconds to go by three and Louisville missed a three and put in the rebound at the buzzer. FSU by one!
I’ve never really been sold on Louisville. It seems to me that Asia Durr always has to score 30 in order for them to beat really good teams. I think that Mississippi State is the best team in the country especially with McCowan’s improvement.
Great win for Florida State. And, it helps our SOS, too! Georgia won at home against Auburn. Good for us, as well. With Tennessee losing to the #3 team, doesn't affect them or us too much. But, it could help us pass them in rankings down the road even though they have the head to head over us. Looks like UConn and Miss. State are in great position to be the top two overall seeds come tourney time; all we can do is win our games and try to move up little by little.
Our RPI drops two spots after playing Texas Tech; good thing FSU won over Louisville. http://warrennolan.com/basketballw/2018/rpi-live
Crème has done an about-face; Baylor now a #3 seed in UConn's bracket! LOL http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/bracketology
Ohio State at Maryland on ESPN2 right now. OSU trails 50-35 at the half. Good for us if OSU loses to keep them behind us in the rankings.
Saw where Georgia beat #11 Mizzou a few days ago. Today, they beat Florida. Looks like UGa is really helping us. LSU upset Tennessee today; kind of a wash for us, but more benefit as it can only increase LSU's RPI without hurting Tennessee too much. FSU got drubbed by Notre Dame at home today. Definitely doesn't help us.
Cheering for UConn tonight at South Carolina; need to stay ahead of USC in rankings/RPI. UConn up 24-16 with 1:00 min left in 1st qtr.
Tennessee playing Aggy tonight. I assume we want Tenn to win for a myriad of reasons and...well... because it’s Aggy Tennessee up 4 at the half
Either outcome benefits us. If Tennessee loses a few more, we can move ahead of them in the seedings/rankings.
I laughed when the TV announcers said this could be UConn's toughest road matchup based on the crowd. Guess they didn't realize that USC has only one player who is elite.
UConn Miss. State Louisville Notre Dame Oregon Baylor South Carolina Florida State Texas UCLA Tennessee Georgia Maryland Mizzou Michigan Texas A&M
But, with us at #9, Tennessee at #11, and A&M at #16 in today's reveal, a win by Tennessee tonight (coupled with their head-to-head win over us) could boost their RPI higher than ours.
The seedings based on tonight's reveal would be: 1. UConn 8. Florida State 9. Texas 16. Texas A&M 2. Miss. State 7. South Carolina 10. UCLA 15. Michigan 3. Louisville 6. Baylor 11. Tennessee 14. Mizzou 4. Notre Dame 5. Oregon 12. Georgia 13. Maryland
Good night for us overall with USC and FSU losing. Tennessee winning is still good for us overall. Right now, it will be very tough for us to pass the top 5 teams, even if were to win out. So, I am hoping we are either 6,7, or 10 when the actual bracket comes out. Have to stay away from the 8/9 seeds to avoid UConn's region.
