That delay of game penalty with 2 minutes to go in the first half and the resulting Charlie Strong-like brain farts that followed, killed the Jags.

The penalty nullified the first down and they didn't convert the second time. They would have been in FG range. Instead they punt with time on the clock, which gave the Pats an extra TO in the form of the two minute warning. They could have run the clock down to the two minute warning and taken that away. Then of course Brady takes the Pats down the field for a TD. Seemed like a small little thing, but it sure hurt 'em. Probably a 10 point swing.

No doubt the Pats are the better team. I was surprised the Jags made a game out of it.

As for the Viking-Eagles game, the clock stuck midnight for Cinderella Case Keenum. The Eagles looked really good, especially their defense. If they keep both Carson Wenz and Nick Foles, the Cowboys can forget about winning the East Division any time soon.

If Foles wins the Super Bowl he will not be around. As far as the Vikings are concerned Bridgewater is the starting QB as long as he is healthy, so the issue is which one of Bradford or Keenum do they try to keep as #2?

Check out how excited this ref is that the Pats scored against the Jags.

Good question. I believe that Bradford may be traded. Keenum did get the team to the playoffs and won the division. Bridgewater will start, but of the 3, I believe Bradford is the most fragile and will be sent elsewhere provided Keenum remains with the team.

Let Bradford walk. His injury history combined with his former #1 pick pricetag and he's too expensive to keep around. Depending on how long Keenum was signed for he could be a pretty cheap insurance policy and he's demonstrated that he could lead the Vikings this far.

Hard to think of a SB matchup that I'd have less interest in than Philly vs NE.

But, I've watched the first 51, so I'll probably have the beer iced down and watch 52.

Yep! Seen all of them so I’ll be watching this one. Some speculation that if the Pats win, Brady may retire. Some more rumors out there that if Brady hangs it up, Belichick might call it a career too. Might be interesting to see what happens.

This game might as well be A&M vs. OU to me. I'll probably end up watching some of it, beer in hand, rooting for an asteroid :hookem:

I missed both championship games in favor of a Peaky Blinders binge and really don't have any interest in the Superbowl.

I have grown so sour on the NFL this year, and it was building before that. It used to be a good product back in the 70's through the 90's. But I am more excited about national signing day and the Spring Game than the da** SuperBowl. El Sapo had it right, I am rooting for an asteroid too.

Tell me about Peaky Blinders. A friend recommended it to me, she loves it, but I had a hard time getting into it. I guess I need to give it another shot.

Season 4 of Better Call Saul is not getting here fast enough. Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton was much better than I expected. I need some new shows.

So an NFL ref may have cost the Jags the game. Fumble recovery should have been allowed to be run back for a TD. Ref blew the whistle thinking the player was down by contact which he was not.

Wouldn't be the first time. The worst I ever saw was the call on Mike Renfro in the 1979 Oilers v. Steelers AFC Championship game. That call would have been reversed today, but there was no instant replay then.

I actually thought that the Jag DB was touched on the ground.

I hope those Viking fans that become Uber Drivers drop those Philly fans off in Wisconsin.

Super Bowl commercials have been living off reputation for years. I can't remember the last really good one.
