Mo was outstanding, and the team defense was very sharp, as usual. When we are knocking down three's (40%) and FT's (83%), this team is hard to beat.
This was indeed a good night shooting. A great rebound from the horrific shooting against wvu. Any win in the B12 is a good win. This was a good win. But I am puzzled about one thing. The 8 point run isu had from around the 6 minute mark to the 2:00 minute (approximate) mark. Our offense went weirdly stagnant. No movement, running the clock down and then throwing up threes which all missed, thus giving the opening to isu. Thank goodness isu went cold and did not hit any more shots after getting within 8. Shaka seemed ok with the game tightening, which I was not ok with, because one more threee and isu is within 5. On the other hand, the clutch free throw shooting to close out the game was very encouraging. Roach and Bamba were forces to be reckoned with tonight. All the guys played hard, kept their heads high and seemed to be smart with the ball. Was not O's best game. He was a little sloppy at times, but he did have a tough defensive matchup. Which actually opened things up for Bamba. Also I liked Shaka's rotations. Liked seeing Banks getting time. Simms, Hamm and the whole bench gave very good minutes to the effort.
