I can't remember the last time I saw someone shout 20 FT in a game. Not really complaining about the refs. I thought it was a good game plan for Tech to drive it on our bigs and get us in foul trouble ... as obviously it worked. Still, I thought there were a couple of times when they were literally throwing themselves into our defenders and a couple of bail-out calls ... OK, well I'm bitchin' about the reffing a little.
Well, the push off on the last shot was pretty obvious and not called. I seem to remember one of the home games where one of the Horn guards got called for the exact same thing at a crucial moment of the game.
That off-arm-bar pushoff by players driving into the middle of the lane is rampant all across college basketball, men's and women's, and 99.9% of the time, never gets called. Uphauling!!
Trae Young just got away with one against I-State. I-State player got the foul called on him when it was pretty obvious that Young dropped the right shoulder and came out with the arm bar.
It is a foul on the defense unless the defender's arms are straight up. If the arms are just a little forward and you hit his arms on the way up, the foul is on the defense.
