The Cook was also the dude behind the event in Syria where "200" Russian "soldiers" were killed by US/Kurdish forces. It turns out the Russians were contract employees of Wagner a private military company owned by The Cook. He gets to recruit from regulation Russian soldiers and ex-soldiers. Apparently, The Cook ordere his Wagner forces to take over an oil field in Syria, so that 1) he could get richer and 2) he could kiss up to Putin more by offering to fund the Russian military's presence in Syria.

Russia is so poor they can't really fund that activity long term without extracting resources from the land.

Why do you think we are still in Syria? The attack on Wagner last week was because the Syrian Army (with Wagner embedded) were approaching an oil field. The US wants control of the oil too via the proxy Kurds and Al Qaeda.

There is so much dishonesty in your post Mus. There was no attack on Wagner. Wagner attacked the Kurd/US forces and did so to enrich an oligarch.

Regardless of who you want to control this area, the Kurds do. Russia knew they were in the wrong as they denied multiple times Wagner's presence in the area and their contribution to the attack. Kurdish and US forces both directly contacted Russian military as the Wagner columns were approaching. They only admitted any involvement after the US/Kurds had dead soldiers as evidence.

Please give some sources (reputable if possible) for your version of what happened. Russia never admitted involvement. They acknowledged there are Russians mercenaries within Wagner but have not stated involvement. Russia denied the Russian army was in the area and in fact pulled out days before in order to protect their military members. Your failure to distinguish Wagner from the Russian military is the same as the press and political spokesman failing to distinguish the difference between the Russian government and the rinky-dink amateurs that were indicted by Muellar as trying to sabotage the elections.

If Academi, or whatever the current name of the mercenary army headed by Eric Prince calls itself, found itself in the same position as Wagner, do you think Trump would acknowledge the US military were affiliated with the group? Trump would condemn the attack of course, but neither he nor Mattis would ever acknowledge Academi as part of the official military planning or the military being privy to the operations.

I would never give you sources that I hear from. You can believe me or not. My messages to you aren't actually for you. But I will say that I am not relying on American sources. They come from the Russian Imperial area. I actually heard some of the calls from the Wagner soldiers explaining what happened to them. I actually feel sorry for those guys. I don't feel sorry of those in charge though.

I do differentiate between Wagner and Russian state military but you have to admit that any such differences are hazy when it comes to the Russian state and those that work in concert with them. Especially when the owner of Wagner is an oligarch who has very close ties to Putin and is actively trying to impress him.
