Good article about Brewster and his dumbassed antics. (SIAP) https://www.heartlandcollegesports....er-is-now-college-footballs-biggest-huckster/
Is that a typo or an outright lack of knowledge by the author of that article. To say no school has done less with more resources over the last 25 years is WRONG! Make that 125 years, and he is much closer to fact.
I think the article nailed the issues with the rest of the SEC right-on (although Georgia seems to have done ok).
I thought we all would have loved to have Tim Brewster back on the 40 acres up until a couple pf months ago. Now he is worse than a used car salesman? What happened? Ahhh nevermind, aggy happened.
Most of us didn't realize how much of a slimeball he apparently is in recruiting. You learn a lot about someone when they have to sell a product that doesn't have a lot going for it. Fortunately, I really don't think that it's a sound recruiting strategy to talk up how great a program is that you have to play every year in order to even have a shot at a big time playoff game. Most kids are on the ball enough to see that, I think.
Ow. Tim is quickly wearing out this huckster bit. That is in pretty poor taste. Using these players as free advertising for a school they didn't even go to, and not even asking their permission?
I've heard Brian Williams has college station tap water shipped to him. Gratz on being at the source coach brew
Brewster proving the adage that people park their brains once they step onto the cow campus of the Brazos.
Not sure why you would think Acho's statement is idiotic? It's 100% fact. Brewster's son chose Texas over his father when he was the HC at Minnesota. He was an OOS kid that picked Texas in the Big 12.
His statement was a direct response to Brewster's. The way he phrased made it sound like it was all about the Big 12. My guess it was primarily about him having lived in Austin and rooted for 'horns as a kid. He was in the '09 class so we were coming off 12-1 season where we got screwed out of BCS title game. Include the fact OOS in this case we're talking about Minnesota. Playing for their dad isn't every kids dream. There were 11 other options if it was all about the Big 12.
Not like I could do better on the interweb/tweety bird, but it has to sound kinda stupid to a high school kid when someone plus 50 starts trying to sound cool online.....Herman could maybe get away with it but not for much longer....be yourself, coach, not someone not acting his age....
Been there a number of times including a game VS. UT. Sadly, those people HATE UT more than they love aggy.
Aggy has a “Championship Legacy”? When did that happen? Not in my lifetime unless I missed something.
I always liked Tim Brewster. However, as other posters have already stated, he made a bad decision going to A&M and has turned weird ever since.
