I hope the team understands the adversity they will be facing in FayetteNam. Texas really needs a split without totally burning the pitching staff.

    Help,

One site says the game started at 630, another says it started at 7, yet another says it started at 4. If indeed it is over, how bad was the damage?

We are down 1-7 in the 5th. The game is on the SEC Network.

Razordorks scored 7 in the 3rd. Didn't hear or see the carnage, but we have 2 errors in the game and a pitching staff that has been pretty craptastic. so I have a good guess as to what happened.

Maybe we can get Skip back next season??? :whiteflag:

Looks like the Stanford series has gotten into their heads. Young players have to learn not to let one loss get into their heads. Otherwise, one loss leads to at least another loss. Time for the coaches to earn their pay as things get serious starting this weekend.

I think our team may not have been ready for the nonconference murderer’s row schedule this year.

We have played a tough non-conference schedule to be sure. However, we were told going into this season that pitching was shaky but that hitting would be improved. They were half right - we've scored 9 runs in the last 4 games and given up 40.

    I miss Skip Johnson.

The hitting might have been bad, but at least the pitching gave them a chance to win.

I have yet to understand how a program can go from having the pitching staff managed by an Associate Head Coach, who is one of the best in the business, to a volunteer assistant.

You get what you pay for - I guess.

Horns lose 7-5 today and stumble into Big XII play at 9-9. Home series with KU starts Friday.

Errors and walks are bad enough. But errors and walks in the same inning is, was and always will be catastrophic.

There is nothing about this coaching staff or team that is impressive so far. Or even slightly above average. Price has some work to do or Del Conte's first hire as AD will be a new baseball coach.
