man, these renewal notices are getting earlier and earlier. just got an email this morning about renewing for next season. Thought before I opened it that it would be a last minute notice about buying tickets for rounds one and two.
Seems as though the call for renewals for the Longhorn Foundation have gotten earlier each year, also!
Absolutely RIDICULOUS that just as some of us are planning for post season "travel", etc., we get hit with this. Disgusted......
I didn't get a renewal notice that I recall. Sadly I could only attend about 4 games this season, just had a brutal travel schedule and other commitments. But I didn't like my seat this year (one of those sections behind the Texas bench) as much as last (opposite side, behind media table). I'll have to make sure I get back closer to my old seat this time around.
I had to give up my seats directly across from the team. There is a fan - crazy screamer/giggles - not sure how best to describe it. You can hear her on the TV at times. In person it’s just too much.
I think I know who you’re referring to also, and I absolutely hear and recognize her on the TV! My friends called her Hershey. There was a game, sometime in the 90s (I think, not that great with timelines) where Hershey candy bars were given out for some reason. Most fans were getting the allotted one or two bars of candy each, but she worked the distributor (we watched her doing this, incredulous) and managed to finagle a couple of boxes — hence the name.
Oh my. That sounds like something she would do. It would have been ok if limited to only spectacular plays, but it’s every basket, completed pass etc. I just couldn’t take it.
