Texas v Baylor

Horns start a huge home series with Bears who are a pedestrian 14-13 (3-6 in conf) on April 6. If 35 wins are needed to get into the tournament, this series will tell a lot about whether the Horns can reach that number.

Horns fall behind 4-0 after two but chip away and take lead in fifth with 4 run inning. Horns have won 11 of last 14 and will look to win this series tomorrow.

 

Unfortunately winning series probably will not help Texas. Need to sweep.

 

Great play by Hamilton in the 3rd to start the DP and get out of the inning. The 4-run inning for Texas had it all--sacrifice fly, sacrifice bunt, base hits & some help from the Baylor defense to get it started.

Horns take finale 4-1 to close out sweep of Bears. They move to 9-3 in conference and 22-12 overall having won 13 of last 16. Trip to aggy Tuesday for big out of conference matchup.

Baylor was 0-22 against the bullpen with runners on this weekend. Bullpen really stepped up!

 

We were 22-13 at this point last year. We are 22-12 this year. Looks like we are on pace for another 2 seed in someone else’s regional. If we could beat A&M and take at least 2 of 3 from OU on the road, it would be huge for our RPI.
