    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Just watched LHN replay of UT - ou 2008, as I have many times:

    45- 35.

I'm SO HUNGRY for that kind of focus, intensity and determination from this team to:

BEAT THE HE'LL OUTTA ou!!! :hookem:

Oh yeah, and he won the Heisman. Other than that, lackluster?

So did Gino Torretta so, not sure what that says about anything.

Moon, I love you and I know you know that- but Tebow was a top level college QB.
No doubt about it, and would have made a huge impact if he had two small horns on his helmet in Austin.

I think Vince/Colt better matched skills to our offense, but Tebow was a fine college quarterback who would have contributed.

Tebow had a great team and coaching staff around him.
Bring all that to the forty acres and yes, I'm sure I'm a huge Tebow fan.
Tebow by himself might have become another concussed Ash.
I'm not disputing his college accomplishments.

I'm saying, as a QB, Tebow makes a great fullback/TE.
He was in a very complimentary system in college.
He didn't have the skills to advance any further in the QB position.
Comparing anybody to Tebow as a QB, in my mind, is not a compliment.
Comparing someone to Tebow's grit, effort and leadership abilities is another story.

It's Spring Ball time. That means it's FOOTBALL season. And what do we get from LHN for these four weeks? Tennis, softball, golf, and baseball. They dominate the programing and constitute 21 of the 22 minutes of the Longhorn Extra show.

    It's truly maddening.

I want to see lots of beautiful football...

And all I get is an occasional inconsequential glimpse...

    It's like....

Maybe I have selective memory, but it seems like every legacy player that comes through here is just solid. Maybe not in terms of production, but just being a good kid that shows maturity and leadership and is someone that we're glad is representing the school.

Just to clarify, I think some of you are misreading. I didn't mean "just solid" as in "their ability was ONLY solid, not better than that." I just meant that they were guys you could always depend on. They were mature, leaders, guys who showed up and worked for what they got. And I also didn't mean that they weren't great from a production standpoint, lots of them were. My post was more about their overall character and work ethic than it was about their ability level.

Well here's to hoping he wasn't concussed when that bit of reporting was done....though your use of the word perpetual is disconcerting.
Now that you mention this, it occurs to me that referring to virtually any analyst/reporter today as perpetually concussed may be redundant!

Do you live in or near Austin and get to hear them on the radio Saturday mornings? Man I'd love to spend a weekend fishing or hunting with those two. Probably not much fishing or hunting going on though. Those two are certified man badasses!

No, I don't but I would love to hear them. I bet they are a hoot. They were certified badasses on the o-line too. It's been a long time since we have had that level of badassery along our o-line. Really hope those days return soon.
