Hager sends him off with a practice clip and some good natured ribbing ... (calling Dion for an assist on sharing instagram video. #AboveMyPaygrade) https://www.diehards.com/texas/connor-williams-2018-nfl-draft-texas-longhorns-football-breckyn-hager
It's a great situation for Connor. A great Oline. Great RB. The potential for both guard and tackle, imo. Local kid.
What a great thread. The video with his dad was something special. When was the last time the Cowboys drafted a Longhorn?
Glad he went to a place that wants him and can rotate him in and out while he learns, not a place that's desperate for him to shore up an utterly failing line.
Go to class. Don't hit women. No guns. Charlie Strong 2014 I expect to get flamed, but this is the kind of young man CS tried so hard to bring here. And why doesn't Garrett age? WTF?
YD, Strong's players had issues with being prepared to play. Williams was one of only a few exceptions. You should not be flamed for staying the obvious.
Good insight on Cowboys drafting Williams rather than trading pick for Earl Thomas. Two things of note here: 1. And it wasn't just cost savings either...The key is not that they'd of had to pay more for Earl, because the article (based on inside info) states if Connor wasn't available and it was any other player at 50 they would have traded the pick. They really wanted CW. and 2. Either way, Cowboys were wanting/getting a Longhorn! https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/201...s-but-cowboys-drafted-connor-williams-instead
