Bullet Bob at the Olympics..........

    great photo of Bullet Bob Hayes at the 64 Olympics............still holds the 70 yd dash record of 6.90, only man to ever break 7 seconds. He revolutionized the WR spot in Pro Football and he and Dandy Don were a quite lethal combo back in the day. Remember many Sundays watching them early and then the Mad Bomber and Warren Wells in the late AFL game torching defenses!

    About 10 years before Hayes went in the Hall of Fame, Dale Hansen signed off of a broadcast with ".........and until Bob Hayes is enshrined, the Hall of Fame is just another building in Canton......".

    He was right.

    I meet Mr. Hayes in a bar in Dallas. Talked with him for about 30 minutes, very nice humble person.
