this is how the jerseys should be; remove numbers from shoulders and TEXAS script from front. Beautiful.

    I can't "like" this enough.
    Imagine the away jerseys.

add "Real Burnt Orange" instead of Nike pumpkin and should be good to go

I personally prefer the simple look, but I do like the block Texas across the front.

It's just that the TEXAS and the longhorn logo and the nike swoosh and the Big XII logo and the numbers on the shoulders make the jersey look so busy. Pants and Helmet are so simple and classic. I just hate the clutter.

The swish is part of the dinero deal with Nike so it has to stay as does the Big XII patch. The Longhorn (made a bit bigger) should suffice so TEXAS can go away.

Not a fan of sleeve piping at all.

I always liked the big fat stripes on the sleeves though

Wide stripes are better than 70's style piping. Agreed.

Always like the simplicity / work clothes of the Horn uniforms... however, I've always liked the thin burnt orange stripes on the pants Akers started... flame away but just one man's opinion out here in cyberspace.

Now stripes down the pant leg just suck. UNLESS, that is, they are jagged stripes like lightning bolts. Makes the players look so much faster.

Its a good thing people can't throw things at you on the internet.

Stripes/piping on jerseys go back to the 1950's, Ed Price probably. What makes them look cluttered are the numbers on the jersey sleeves or shoulder tops.

I wish we could drop all the branding ******** — Nike, Big 12. It’s ugly noise on a classic work of art.

Lots of burnt orange, a little white, and Bevo. That’s it.

No problem ^^^^^ as long as HornFans isn't stuck with the bill caused by removing the swish.

... and as long as we get the burnt orange capes we've always demanded!

I'm still in favor of ditching the burnt orange home unis and going to stormtrooper white all the time.

    new jerseys unveiled

At a time of year when football programs often reveal significant tweaks to the uniforms, things are typically quiet on the Forty Acres as the Texas Longhorns maintain the status quo.

For the 2018 season, that’s basically the case once again. The only major change revealed on Wednesday during the team’s photo shoot was a larger “Texas” font on the jersey front:

Only problem would be people would start wearing white at home to force Texas to wear orange on the road thinking that would play on the Texas players' minds.

TEXAS was already big enough on the jerseys ...

If this is serious - that the Horns are going back to black socks and cleats with either home or road uniform, it SUCKS!

Team colors are burnt orange and white. If I have to compromise, ok on the black shoes... :whiteflag:

I suspect that it's only for the home uniforms. Typically we've had black shoes with the burnt orange and stayed with the all-white on the road.

I have zero problem with black shoes. It's tradition. Orange shoes look stupid. If you want a traditional clean, Royal-esque look, then black shoes do that. Plus I've always been a fan of the spats for running backs and receivers.
