I agree with you on the underlying issue, but you owe SH an apology. That doesn't make you wrong about Brennan, but you demeaned his service, which is out of line. He was willing to take a bullet for our freedom. He deserves better.

So the court martial that would result from disobeying a lawful order is "ceremonial"
How about a prison sentence? Great ceremony that.

Zerohedge? The favorite site for Musburger links. The extreme right and RUSSIA are becoming indistinguishable. Patiotism is being redefined in real time.

He was court martialed for violating the rules set forth in the SF312 document he signed. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Next time you have a legal contract situation offer to take an oath instead of signing. Let me know how it works out.

Anyone who served should be commended.
I disagree with you that taking an oath to defend your country even with your life is nothing more than ceremonial.
When you raise your hand and swear to bear true allegiance to the Constitution do it freely and without reservation. That you will faithfully discharge the duties of that office. That means something and many people have died defending their oath and office.

Well SH we just disagree .
Thank you for serving. I am sure you did a great job.
I don't think there is anything more to be said on this subject.

As made clear in my post both since I pointed it out And enclosed in quotation marks the words were Rand Paul's.
    The site should be immaterial.
Why is it so important to you?
There are other sites with the same Rand Paul quotes

Do you think you would have gotten the clearance had you refused to recite it with your hand in the air? When I did it I realized the seriousness of what I was doing. I'm very surprised anyone who raised their hand would think it is just for show.

I remember when Obama was president and a black person agreed with something he did and got yelled at by a white guy for it. Oh that's right, that didn't happen. If it had, I'm sure no one would have called the white guy racist or anything like that.

Brennan has also admitted as much himself
The clearance issue is about money
It's about how much of a swamp DC is

"can't serve on corporate boards that require security clearances because they deal with classified information, and this can have a very punitive, very financial hit"

Even Brennan is now backing away from Brennan
Seems to want to blame it on being a drunk Irishman
    He didnt really mean it
    What a punkass

The whole “muh Russia” story has been a bad joke from the outset
Even Mueller's fairly recent indictment of Russians was for spying, not hacking. And seems highly unlikely any of them will ever see the inside of a US courtroom. Plus the timing was extremely suspect.
Mueller’s probe is a clown car

Chris Wallace asked Admiral Mullen why anyone should retain a security clearance after the leave the position for which it was required. Mullen did not have a good answer. He said it had been customary for many years and that he really did not use it much.
We see the real answer is these people want it to use for financial gain.
I say eliminate them all once they leave.

Apparently it was Rand Paul who put the idea in Trump's head
Now that Trump has done it once and seen the reaction, I dont think he is going to stop for awhile

It's almost like Clapper is pleading with Trump,

"Uh, hey there Mr. President, sir, no hard feelings and please dont get me kicked of the cushy, perk-filled corporate boards I am sitting on too."

Why don't these people asking POTUS Trump to revoke their clearance just give it up themselves?
    That would show Trump.
Why wait. Stand up and do it now.

Here is Turley today on Brennan admitting he casually made up the "that treason stuff"
Turley earlier criticized Trump on the revocation of clearance. But instead of just admitting he was wrong, Turley bitterly clings to his previous claim despite the recognition Brennan is a self-confessed liar. The result is a sad case of pretzel logic

It always brings some sadness when you realize idiots like this one can rise to the level of the US Senate

The President has absolute authority to revoke any individual’s security clearance, whether currently or formerly serving, at his sole discretion.
Due process is not a requirement.
So why bother us with bogus "amendment" blather?
Going to the gym would be a more productive use of your time

If he's pulling their clearance as punishment, then it's not really "arbitrary," is it?

Between him and Brennan saying that "Just because I said someone was treasonous doesn't mean I accused him of committing treason," I'm starting to wonder if anyone speaks English around here anymore...

This whole security clearance thing has really brought more light to just how insidious this whole swamp thing is. The fact that it is "normal" for FORMER employees of the govt to keep their security clearances after they are no longer employed is whackadoo. What private business operates that way?

"Here’s one way to follow the money in the United States: look past the Washington Monument and the Capitol to the D.C. suburbs. Half of the richest counties in America are roughly an hour away from the capital.

Virginia’s Loudoun County boasts an eye-popping median household income of $125,900, tops in the nation, according to 2015 Census Bureau estimates, the most recent available. Almost 10,000 Loudoun residents commute to D.C., but the vast majority of residents find plentiful well-paid job opportunities close to home – the top local employers are Dulles Airport, the Department of Homeland Security and the Loudoun County Public Schools.

Loudoun County also houses a large amount of technology companies and data centers — up to 70% of the world’s Internet traffic flows through Loudoun’s data centers each day....."

I think this was using 2015 numbers --

Everyone on this board should see this as a problem. Our government, Dems and Republicans, have turned representation into their own personal wealth strategy. Ironically, my hope was and is that Trump can bust this up. I believe he is succeeding with both establishments are being overwhelmed by opposition within their own ranks.
