Pretty funny for them to finally realize they might be in a new conference, but they still have a daddy to look up to and hate.

It's hilarious. The bought into the whole "SEC SEC SEC" chant thing failing to realize it's a knife fight and in reality they all hate each other and will cheat without remorse to win. The Aggy delusion is alive and well.

As for Texas fans; yeah, there are lots of frat boy smirks on the faces of the rich alumni. No doubt. But I've been to enough games and walked enough parking lots to my car to know that the Texas fans don't abuse or try to intimidate the opposing fan base. At least not here in Austin. I'm pretty sure it's different every year at the fair grounds but in general we're a well behaved bunch.

    Am I wrong about that?

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Attended games over 50 years: DKR, RRR, road, bowls and 1 RB VS. Mich. I've been seated in great seats, mediocre seats and cheaper seats over that time.

IMHO, generally our fans seem to be pretty good to decent at games outside of a few bad examples at ou games I observed.

Outside ou games, I cannot speak for lubricated fans after the game win or lose in various settings when some lack filters of good fan / sports behavior.

I consider the atmosphere in Dallas to be unique to that environment and specific feeling by both fan bases towards one another. They had to cancel the annual walk or whatever it was called in downtown Dallas due to all the fights. It is what it is. But here in Austin, under "normal" circumstances it's much tamer and I've sat in the best of seats (luxury boxes/suites and 2nd row fifty yard line at least three times on the west side right behind the team) and right next to the opposing band on the east side in the past. Always enjoyable. No tension.

"Enjoy it while you can. We will see you next year at Kyle field.”
The last line is the best of the entire litany. With the exception of the game JFF won, the results have been the same. Jimbo only has 9 more shots at Alabama and no one outside of aggy expects any different results.

Get your licks in while you can... I think that came from the Sherrill era. The thing is this; only Aggy can complain as they did on their thread about the cockiness of possibly the greatest dynasty in the history of college football while maintaining their own special brand of delusional cocky arrogant assumption about their own program. Their last national championship was won the year German attacked Poland (not Pearl Harbor). Think about that; yet they continue to loudly broadcast their relevance. Who does that? Only Aggy.

My favorite part was how they talked about how wonderful the Nebraska fans were when they were always winning. Well after 12 years of getting their asses handed to them by Texas they stopped being so nice and became a pretty vile bunch.

Well, I hear winning changes everything. Apparently this is true on both sides of the equation.

I KNOW! They should leave the SEC for the Big Least.
Maybe THEN they can finally assume their rightful place as the Gomer Kings of college football.

I have been to many games in Austin and out of town. Arkansas and Ohio State fans were the worse. OU is unique but much better.
The last time we played UCLA I bought tickets on the 50 less than hour before the game at the box office. Right in the middle of the UCLA alumni. ONE drunk (it was early) fan was very aggressive toward our group culminating with him cursing etc. I turned around and said if he wanted to hit me get it over with so i could watch the game peacefully in the ER.
He said you are disrespecting us by standing and singing The Eyes of Texas. I said we sing out of respect for our University. And we respect football almost like a religion and the Rose Bowl is a hallowed place. Further I believed if I treated him like this in Austin I would be asked to leave by the fans and/or eventually the police.
THREE men sitting around me said they had been to Austin the year before and that they had been treated with respect, invited to random tailgates, and loved Schultz's. Made me proud. He then said my mother can't see when you all stand up. I switched seats with her and stood by the BIG jerk. They left at the end of the first quarter to get a drink.
After the game (we won), we were invited by safer folks in our section to go to a local sports bar in Pasadena to watch the afternoon games. They paid for much of the tab and were very gracious.

Since aggy no longer has Texas for their conference daddy somebody had to step up to deliver spankings. LSU is co-daddy

Money can't buy you love, and evidently it also can't buy you wins against good teams.

In case anyone wanted to know ...
BAMA now leads the series, 9-2 (including 6 of the last 7). A&M last won in 2012. (the win before that was in 1968)

And perhaps should be noted, Texas is 7-1-1 against Bama, only losing in that NC game following the 2009 season, only tie following 1960 season in the Bluebonnet Bowl 3-3. Texas and Bama rematched after that tie, with Texas leading the series at 4-0-1 with:

    - following 1964 season in that classic Orange Bowl, #5 Texas (with a young All American Tommy Nobis) beat #1 Bama, in the first live TV telecast of a college football game in prime time

    - following 1972 season #7 Texas beat #4 Bama 17-14,

-following 1981 season Texas #6 Texas beat #3 Bama 14-12 (the Brewer foot on the sideline no call for a Texas TD)

settling in at 7-0-1 until that Rose Bowl NC game. Also, Texas was 2-0 in the Rose Bowl before losing for the first time to Bama, Texas' first Rose Bowl loss.

Texas v. Alabama is, at least in the last 60 years or so, always a huge national game, as often as not with national title implications.

    LSU is Step dad.
Alabama is just the mean drunk uncle who would beat the crap out of you with a belt or anything else that was handy.

Well...to the extent that keeping up with the Jones means getting drummed like all of the OTHER Jones getting drummed by Alabama... LOLOLOLOL!

Brewer’s 1982 TD run was in the middle of the field. Alan Lowry’s 1973 TD run is no call foot on the sideline for a Texas TD.

I found it funny that aggy is so worried that if Saban retires this year Alabama is going to steal Fisher away from them.

I respectfully disagree with you on this. The aggy's have always had a victims mentality so they will need a daddy forever. It does not matter what conference they are in.

After Arky moved to the SEC, I heard Frank Broyles say that in the SEC; "they'll slit your throat and drink your blood". I think aggy is just figuring that out.

Aggie fan is, well, aggie, but seriously, an open hand slap? And lousy form too. Pick a lead foot and get some hip rotation into it. All arm. I mean, if you are going to strike someone, put him down.

They can have more than one daddy - I'm pretty sure someone wrote a book about that. I feel like right now the total's sitting at what, four? (I count "reality" as one of them.)

That one video just summed up Aggy existence. I bet that guy is still chanting SEC SEC SEC.
On a side note, I hope someone kicks bama's ***, their fans are on the level of tOSU fans.
