Any advice? I've looked at stubhub ... seems pricey ($170 for similar seats at DKR) ... IDK. I don't have a lot of experience seeing the Horns personally in Stormtrooper gear. Is there a better option going through UT ticket office with the season ticket account? Planning to be in Canyon to check on "dash-two" with the 5er ... might grab some TTech tickets and goto the game on the way home? RV/tailgate options? thanks!
I rarely if ever use the ticket office or away games, but then I don't enjoy sitting in the endzone. I refuse to use Stubhub TicketCity has the Jones Stadium diagram; move your cursor over section and it will show you location and price. I've used Ryan Girton for years for concerts, bowl games, games at other schools. Never been disappointed. Texas Tech vs Texas Tickets | 11/10/2018 Football Game at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, TX
I have used stubhub a few times most recently v. Maryland with no problem. I know there are some issues with beliefs and politics, not sure or up to date. Liked what I bought, enjoyed the seats. If there is another way, I’d go with it.
Can you elaborate a little on that? I've used StubHub during the last couple of years (for seats I didn't get through Texas Parents/Texas Athletics) and I'm certainly open to using other vendors (Ticket City, Seat Geeks, Vivid Seats, etc. Would like to know people's comments on those, too).
I used to buy from StubHub a lot but the last 4 times I bought from them I didn’t get the tickets I ordered they were listed wrong in some type of fashion and instead of honoring the sale or giving me something similar they refused because they didn’t want to take the loss and you have to wait a week to get your money back. Ever since the cowboys moved to SeatGeek that has been my go to app you can always find a discount code online also same with vivid seats never had a problem with them either. As far as ticket city, goes I no longer use them either. Bought my wife tickets to a concert they send me literally a screen shot of the barcode get to the venue denied access and concert was sold out. Wasted time gas and hotel room that they didn’t refund me for only the cost of the tickets and gave me a 100 dollar discount code that I sold for 75 bucks because I refuse to use them again.
There are some stories swirling about scalping/gouging etc. I am extremely naive, and don’t really have the time nor brain matter to exhaust on ticket companies I only use once every few years. Probably should be a better, more informed consumer, just not. For me, I’ve used them a few times over the years, and have had 100% accuracy, and absolutely no issues. Hope this helps.
well, the RV sites on which I'd camp (ie, have my family) are already booked. Could leave the RV, but then have to make another round trip to fetch it. So ... I think we're gonna plan to be home for the game ... watch on the 70" Sony and hopefully listen to Craig Way if the video feed will precede the streaming LHN (pause the video/sync with Craig/Co)
Naw ... still at home in Erath County ... have commo'd with "dash 2" since it happened. He didn't mention anything about it, so it must not have been too "earth shattering." ... maybe he's just that hard to ... rattle?
I have been getting my tickets all season from Seat Geek. Real easy transaction and you decide what you want to pay. Don’t have to wait for a ticket delivery, they download to your phone.
I don't know about that because it is Texas and to a person (players, students, fans) they will want to be there to celebrate a victory over Daddy.
Tickets starting at $78 (when you look at the UT schedule on the ESPN site). Compared with tickets starting at $3 for Iowa State in Austin. Yeah, Tech fans are looking forward to this game.
you mean the daddy that TT has beaten 2 of the past 3 years, both times in Austin? The daddy who going into this season had won fewer games over the last 3 years than Tech? That daddy?
don't be aggy with selective recall. As down as Texas has been the last 7 years (which is STILL "up" for most programs) ... no one gets 'em more pumped about a game on their schedule. STILL. Is that because of the last 3 years? That is evident in your ticket prices this year.
well, 17-20 for UT over the last 3 years does take a little something off the luster of the game you must admit.
must I? it's far below the standard for Texas Football. That I will admit. The luster? We've misplaced more luster than most programs will ever see. it will be found again. In fact, It's in progress even as we exchange on this internets hootus. Every dog has his day. For most, it means the highs are rare. For Texas it means the lows are rare. It's just a different perspective, but it's a champion's perspective. Our perspective transcends a cherry picked 3 years. Back in the mid-80s to mid 90s we had our first (modern era) bout with mediocrity. My aggy neighbors took advantage of that and, like you, thought the previous 3-5 years meant "normal." it wasn't then, and it isn't now. Our dog ... yeah, he's about to be put down. (translation ... this season has shown Texas is marking back.) I know it makes everyone else nervous ... and I expect more barbs. The leader gets the barbs.
