Kansas State playing two decent teams this week. Also, Iowa will be a good test for West Virginia as they have a dominant center. Will help get them ready for the bigs of Texas and Baylor.
OSU takes Samford down: 82-62. Big 12 starts off 2-0 in midweek games. Vivian Gray of OSU is going to be tough to beat out as newcomer of the year in the Big 12.
ISU makes it 3-0 for the Big 12 as they take down Eastern Michigan U 85-59. Camber (15 pts) and Scott (11 pts) came off the bench and carried the Cyclones early until the starters got going.
Kansas made it a clean sweep for the Big 12 for Wed with a 77-56 win over George Mason. Jessica Washington, in her second game back from an ACL that ended her season in 2017-18 before it began, started and showed why she was named the newcomer of the year in 2016-17. Against George Mason, she scored 30 pts on 9-15 shooting, 6-10 from BTA and 6-8 from the FT line.
KSU goes down 70-61 to #14 Syracuse. Wildcats kept it close through the first three minutes of the last quarter, leading at the end of the third 48-46. Up by one at the 7:25 mark of the fourth, Syracuse outscored KSU 17 to 9 the rest of the way to grab the nine point win.
That OU score was a bit of a surprise. Maybe it shouldn't have been, considering how young they are and that they are missing one of their two top frosh from last year-Ana Llanusa, expected to be a starter and team leader this year after starting 22 of 30 games last season.
KSU loses for the second game in a row. DePaul takes a 79-59 win over the Wildcats. Couldn't match the firepower from BTA of either Syracuse or DePaul.
#12 Iowa 84 #25 WVU 81 Clemson 74 OU 62 BYU 61 TCU 58 #4 BU 72 South Dakota State 66 This was close one for the Lady Bears. The Big 12 had a poor day on the court with only Texas and Baylor winning while KSU, OU and TCU all went down.
Wow! Some of those scores surprise me. I wasn't expecting WVU to lose to Iowa but Iowa must be good or they wouldn't have a #12 ranking. The close score of the Baylor vs SDS game is fascinating. OU has another loss.
