They're pretty darn good. They take quick shots and try to get opposing defenses out of a rhythm. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost, but I'm hoping that the lessons we learned from UNC and MSU transfer over and we play more of a ball control style.
I want to get excited about this team. They are athletic, play decent defense for the most part and play hard. But then they get to the offensive end. There appears to be no point to any movement off the ball (when there is any) and they just wait for one of the guards to penetrate one on one. Many times they get an open shot, the problem is they actually have to shoot the shot and even with no pressure it is not even close. They will go seven to eight minutes where they hit shots and then back to the norm where they can’t make even layups. It is astounding that Texas has zero shooters and other teams have multiple. The names have changed but the same issues remain. If they could shoot with any consistency, they might be a top ten team and they showed that against North Carolina and for a half against Michigan state. Maybe they will catch lightening in a bottle and the shots will start dropping at a much higher percentage, but I am not counting on it. Horns by1 at the half
It is just painful to watch this team barely draw iron on wide open uncontested three’s. Radfod up 3 with 9 left. Just can’t watch anymore
