Maybe David Cutcliffe is looking for a job at Texas.

Predictably, Fisher with Agggy ahead of us.

Three SEC programs have us ranked the lowest. And former Aggie Dino Babers.

Man look at that B1G collusion. Even Brohm, who beat the **** out of tOSU.

Freaking Scott Frost putting UCF inbetween Ohio State and Oklahoma is especially ridiculous.

So he thought a blow out loss to Purdue was weighted less than a 3 point loss to UT? I would have had more respect for his vote if he had put is old team in front of tOSU.

But it sure seems like the majority of other conferences have the same, except for maybe the SEC where some kept UGA ahead of either.

The most worthless of all football polls. Always has been always will be. Who cares.

Looks like the Pirate has Wazzu at 6th; next highest has them at 9th.

Harbaugh didn't vote, I take it?

I seem to remember reading a few years ago that often the coaches don't even actually cast the vote. They hand it off to an assistant coach or even a graduate assistant. Anybody know if this is true?

I think SabreHorn has done it for Belmont in the past.

That's when you'd see Slippery Rock and Wofford get some top 25 votes in the past, I .... think.

Saban particularly thinks we're soft. He rated us lower than any other coach. When do we get to play them?

That makes sense. He continually does everything he can to make sure his team gets less praise. Probably threw that out as a gauntlet to his team to prove him wrong.

A grand total of 3 coaches have A&M ranked above Texas. Sagan and Fisher are to be expected. But wtf was Pat Narduzzi (or his sidekick) thinking? A&M in the top 10? Really??? The Aggies’ next highest votes are at 17.

Yes, I remember it too. Several years ago the press ran some stories after a big name coach (wanna say Paterno but could be mistaken) admitted he'd never voted in the poll and that it was filled out by someone in the office. Graduate assistant sounds right. My guess is this is SOP at a lot of places, which I'm fine with as the poll is useless anyways.

Exactly. I get that some people will inevitably put Ohio State in front of Oklahoma, and some vise versa. And I get that some are going to put all the undefeated teams up front and some will put UCF lower. And I even get that Frost has a bias towards both UCF (his old school) and Ohio State (his conference).

And yeah, if he had put UCF 4th, I would completely understand that. But putting them 5th sure looks like it was done for the purpose of putting a little extra "wedge" between Ohio State and Oklahoma to help them in the playoff push.

I have a quasi vague memory of Stoops describing his "vote". Someone from his office put it together and maintained it for him. And they discussed it a little during the week and prior to him submitting it.
