    Driver 8 Amor Fati

7 catches for 191 yards = 27 yards per catch

This guy was our best offensive weapon last night and probably should have gotten more balls thrown to him. He made some big time grabs when we needed them

he's so good. i don't know about his route running. i saw that one where he cut in on the db when sam threw it on the outside.

but other than that one potential mistake, i didn't see him do anything wrong at all.

    he's a man! he plays like he's 40!

..is the MAN. He won't be around long so need to use him every chance we get. In fact we need to let him 'make' his chances. And wasn't the 'best' offensive weapon, he WAS the offensive weapon. Great game 9.

The pattern with our offensive staff is that since he is so good they will mysteriously stop throwing to him.

But did Collin run the wrong route or did Sam throw the wrong way? They will get on the same page as the season goes on and those will be TDs instead of wasted opportunities.

That diving catch that full extension that was a thing of beauty. Collin has shown that he is reliable catching the ball in traffic or catching the ball when he's wide open or making space so that he catches the ball. The only pass that I remember that he dropped was thrown at his shins (in another game) and it's difficult for a tall man to catch a low thrown ball but I'm probably not remembering a few others I suppose. We have to throw to him frequently. Foreman is coming on to.

USC could not cover him deep without holding, which was never called not even once on them.

Right. I don't know. It's the only thing that I saw that could be a mistake. Maybe my though.

    Looks like a Sunday player.

Fair enough. He isn't ready and everyone except hungry NFL Agent types knows it. He still needs to learn about playing the position (his blocking improved this season), but there is more to the position that running down the sideline and catching a ball over an undersized DB's head.

Hope he comes back, he would dominate next season.

I’ve always said Colin is THE man. Really ticked me off through the season when he wasn’t thrown to more. Hope he stays along w LJ and we learn to use the two of them to become the biggest dual threat in the B12.

So I wanted a hefty dose of Ingram, CoJo, and LJH. I'm cool that we use the QB run a lot. I'm cool that we managed Ingram's touches for his health. And I'm cool that we shared the ball with Heard and Duvernay.

The only way I see us getting it to CoJo more is fewer sacks. Maybe a tad more focus on play calls.

Yep, I probably favor more than a tad.

You're OK with Sam running head first into guys with his documented history of bad concussions as well as shoulder injuries?

Sam doesn't know how to avoid contact. He'd better learn or the coaches need to dramatically dial back the designed QB run plays they call for him.

Kylar Murray knows how to avoid hits. He slid into the backfield on several plays this year at a loss of yards rather than take hits. Sam wants to run people over. That's fine if you're very injury resistant, but Sam is not injury resistant.

This isn’t a good comparison as the two players are completely different. It’s like comparing Bambi to a moose.

Ky-Ky slides because he wouldn’t be able to take “one” hit. Not one. Ehlinger doesn’t slide much because he’s a Tebow type player. The power run is a huge part of his game. Take that away, completely, and he will be much less effective.

Sam is what he is, and it’s pretty good. He has throttled back his aggression considerably though. As an example, how many concussions has he had this season? I am not aware of one.

How much do we think his throwing/accuracy was affected by that shoulder strain?

Joe, I’d say not that much. He made quite a few very accurate passes in the CCG but his nemesis, the long ball, continues to be an issue.

Hey man. I'll simply say this...
    No, I'm not.

I would say a lot since every game after the injury the offense was stuffed. Everyone knew he would run sparingly; had no zip on the ball; and could not hit the broadside of a barn down the middle.
