Run, Charlie, Run: 70 Touchdowns Later, High School Back Still Seeking Attention Great article about a junior. 3,356 years (10.6 per carry) and 70 Touchdowns. 5A Indiana high school. And no offers.
He is ten blocks from Purdue, who needs a RB that can block; yet no interest. Remember the ABQ QB that had all world stats and no offers? The kid wants to get a BBA? He should be on the phone with Penn, Harvard, Dartmouth, Rice, SMU
What is wrong with talent evaluators? You don't score 70 touchdowns by accident, I think you might be able to find a place for this kid on your roster. Good lord, he just runs through people....and has yet to fumble. Can I interest you in 10+ yards per carry? He's going to break the Indiana high school record for rushing yardage next year... Yeah, they mentioned that he's more of a FB and that being called a fullback is a factor. Seems like if you are the lead back, you're the running back, even if you are built like a tank.
It's Indiana HS football, and his school is a mile from Purdue, which isn't exactly swimming in talent. An hour down the road is Indiana, which needs help at every position. While his film may look good, what is the caliber of the opposition? Could he play for Newton? or Carthage? What about Pleasant Grove? Maybe Calallen, but only because Phil Danaher can make a player out of mudpies.
Great find. This is crazy. As big as we are on ball-control around here, I wish TH would look into this
I don't want to fist fight Zucker, but I think these types of guys are great for teams. Work harder, study longer, just to be a back up type talent.
Chris Whaley moved to DE/DT, so could this guy, if it was needed. he deserves a scholarship SOMEWHERE
I don’t know. If Texas still had Deonta Foreman how good would we be this year? This guy deserves a hard look from Texas. He doesn’t fumble and is that hard to bring down? Wow.
