It's mind boggling how one new coach arriving to an experienced team can cause it to disintegrate.

One or two players wanting to follow Mike White to Texas? Maybe. But this is an exodus that reflects directly back to the new coaching staff. Who arrives at a winning program wanting to drive away experienced, winning players?

Maybe we should start a thread called "Oregon Transfers to UT"

OMG where is Mike White getting all these scholarships? This now makes 23 on the roster. I'm not sure there are that many softballs to go around?

Lauren Burke - Sophomore from Eugene, ORE., Marist HS, THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
Shannon Rhodes - Junior, from FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Brewer HS, THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
Miranda Elish - Junior, from Crown Point, Indiana, Crown Point HS, THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
Now Adding Mary Iakopo who will be a Sophomore. She is a catcher and brings a big bat with her. Brief article below on her leaving from a Oregon Newspaper. A little surprised by this transfer since we have Taylor Ellsworth who is entrenched at the Catcher position for Texas. I'm sure Coach White will work it out. We need a strong DH. Iakopo had a much better batting average and more home runs than Taylor had last year.

There was a freshman catcher for the 2019-2020 recruited by Connie who had her offer pulled (guess) because she suddenly signed with LSU. Connie usually liked to have Senior-Sophmore pairs of catchers. Now, we'll have Junior-Sophmore. I think part of it was Taylor graduating one semester early, which allowed her to start playing one year early.
