That's absolutely true. But we didn't have chances to play that fast of a game tonight with KSU shooting the percentage they did. Made shots for them equals less rebounds, so no chance for the fast breaks. Kudos to them for making the shots tonight!
Actually 3 in her CAREER, 1 this year, yet she keeps shooting them. Can you imagine if she played for Mittie, Finelley or the witch in Wacko? She'd be sent to the locker room and cleaning the floors with a toothbrush.
Does it really matter? We all know Texas was more than likely going to be 2nd in the conference like they are every year because they can’t beat Baylor. So dropping a game IMO won’t really matter.
Evidently the hard fought struggle in Ames must have took the sap out of both teams as they both took it on the chin tonight.
I think all of our girls are bright. You have to be to go to Texas. They just got outhustled by a team that wanted it more tonight. It's a good lesson if they choose to accept it.
Quite likely as neither team played well after that game in Ames. Still, the team has to learn to come back strong from such games as they have a target on their back going into every game. I doubt we see another game from the players like this again. Time to get ready for TCU. Let's go, Horns!
We had a lot of problems, but more than that, we met up with a team that was flat out on fire. If KSU played like that every game, they would be very near the top of the conference. There were probably defensive adjustments that should have been made, but I'm not smart enough to know what they were. Just last game, Bill Fennelly was nothing but praise for out defense.
KSU lost to ISU by 40 a couple of weeks ago, and then we made it look like they still had Kendra Wecker and Nicole Ohlde....
