    # of teams 2019 recruiting classes ranked in top ten:
    SEC--3, B12--2, ACC--2, B10--2, P12--1
    # of teams in the top 25 (includes those listed above)
    SEC--9, B12--2, ACC--2, B10--5, P12--4

Doesn't look good for balance in the B12. Horns and ou only teams with top 25 classes at this moment.

Well, Patterson has proven he doesn't need them, but unfortunately Snyder retired, and Leach is in the land of the Jolly Green Giant.

    Big12 has 10 teams.

    The SEC has 14. B1G 14. ACC 14. Pac12, uh, 12.

Problem is The Big XII has 8 maybe 9 teams that have a realistic chance to win the Conference while the SEC has 4 maybe (Bama, LSU Georgia and Florida) teams with a realistic chance to win the Conference; the B1G has maybe 4 (tOSU, Meatchicken, Wisky, and Iowa); and the PC-12 has 6 maybe 7 (SC, UCLA, Wash, Ore, Stanford, ASU and Wazoo). Recruiting results, therefore, do not jive with ultimate on the field results.

    Conf #ofTeams Top 10 %age Top 10 Top 25 %age Top 25
    B12 10 2 20% 2 20%
    SEC 14 3 21% 9 64%
    B1G 14 2 14% 5 36%
    ACC 14 2 14% 2 14%
    Pac 12 1 8% 4 33%

Accounting for the number of teams in each conference...
In 2019, the B12 and SEC performed virtually identically in Top10 rankings with everyone else behind.
But Top25 rankings is where the SEC shows its depth, and the B12 significantly lags in 2019. OSU, TCU, WVU, and Baylor (Briles years) aren't keeping up. B12 is 4th out of 5 percentage-wise in Top25 rankings.

Maybe these other B12 teams get back into the swing of things next year.

Generally agree with this line of thinking, but I wouldn't give UCLA or ASU a realistic shot at winning the PAC. It would take a number of years for either to rise up to that level. UCLA has fallen off the cliff.
