The St' Louis Trinity Catholic players are already on campus.
Would not hurt my feelings if it was the Mook

edit -- TFB says the silent is a 2020 and is from Texas
    quote -- "a good one"

We offered 2020 WR Quentin Johnston (6'4,180) from Temple (same school as Jared Wiley, Taquon Graham and Davion Curtis). He is #87 WR in the country and #58 overall in Texas per the 247 Composite.

" ... Johnston was easy to spot on Jared Wiley's film. As his top target, Johnston showed fantastic big-play ability in the Temple offense last year. He accounted for several touchdowns in a first-round playoff upset loss to Mesquite Horn. (ou) chose to offer early, but the big attention hasn't come just yet. Johnston is the third in-state receiver Texas offered in the 2020 class along with Troy Omeire and Demond Demas..."

“I’ve been liking Texas since my sophomore year. I just didn’t know if I was ready yet. I flew out here three times. I haven’t been to many other schools as much and I just fell in love with the school itself,”

“The coaches here are a great group of people. “The offense and the way Texas football program is, is already great. No other school has been building as strong of a relationship with me as Texas. Since day one with the offer, they’ve been pushing hard for me.”

On Carrington who struck up a close relationship and was instrumental in the Longhorns landing Cooper’s commitment. Carrington was also a big factor in Texas securing the commitment of Cooper’s teammate in the 2019 class, Marcus Washington. “He’s a really cool dude. He’s younger so we can kind of relate a little bit, I can be a little more open with him than anyone else. We just have a connection. He’s a coach, but more like a friend. You can talk to him about anything.

“That’s my guy. He’s a coach to me but also like a big brother who helps guide me the right way.”

“To be committed feels great. It takes some weight off of my shoulders. Not all, but some, and that’s what matters. The process can become very stressful.”

Man I am excited Mook is headed our way. Having Mook, Smith and Whittington with all that speed, throw in McCoy, playmakers galore. I hope we throw the ball deep more often. TH and Beck have to be licking their chops with all the possibilities at their disposal. And then the tight ends, I have a good feeling about Liebrock(?), I believe we have a top three offense we just have to prove it. The future looks real strong. I have no doubt about being in the playoffs.:yippee:

So, now with just 4 commits, we moved up 4 spots to the No. 16 class in the country for 2020.

We also have over a 94.00 average rating per commit.

This is outstanding. The momentum we have gained is great. However Aggy says we have no chance.

Couple of comments from EJ Holland of 247 --

    2. National success — Landing Cooper gives Texas a huge national recruiting win. The Longhorns have done a tremendous job of luring elite out-of-state talent, and Cooper is the latest national Top 100 recruit to side with Texas. Saint Louis is there for the taking, and the Longhorns have and will continue to do well in the area. Cooper told me that Texas appeals to Saint Louis kids because of the program’s history, the short flight and the city of Austin. Texas has also had a ton of success in the state of Arizona and hosted one of the best in 2020 in four-star defensive end Jason Harris. Texas should be a strong contender with him after this visit.

    3. Trending up — Texas has hosted four-star 2020 defensive lineman Princely Umanmielen almost every weekend — literally — this offseason. The Longhorns are really winning him over and while he wouldn’t say it, I feel like they are gaining an edge over Oklahoma. Umanmielen still wants to take his time with his decision, but right now, it’s hard not to peg Texas the leader. Texas is also moving in the right direction with four-star safety Bryson Washington. I also feel like Texas leads for him — and by a good margin. This visit was pivotal with recent offer Xavion Alford. I believe Texas may have moved into the pole position.

    10. Staffers — The two staffers that really impacted recruits today were Ra’Shaad Samples and Bryan Carrington. Samples spent a lot of time with the aforementioned Neville and Banks, and both prospects spoke highly of him. Carrington was involved with basically all major recruits. All raved about him as being an older brother figure. Carrington and Samples are both young, energetic and can relate to prospects. While they can’t get out on the road, they are invaluable weapons during on-campus visits.
