Never cared for the guy since reading The Art of the Deal way back when: he seemed like a dull braggart. The geekish palling around with the wrestler promoter amplified it.

He was good for some comedy, like when he dissed Ali G and his appearance in a very funny bit in a woody allen movie.

But in 2016 I got interested because I thought he could win, though I had no intention of voting for either of the two candidates, and all my friends just hated him and liked Hillary. Their hatred was just pathological. And still is.

I love the enemies he made going nuts. And who now believe there is no way he can be re elected. They are in for another nasty shock.

Anyway, re the Russia bit, I kept thinking maybe there was something to it but now believe he was making nice with Putin to try to get richer getting the oligarchs to finance a big hotel building spree. Then he got elected president and their feeble, stupid efforts to help him looked really bad. Two years of investigatons and the Russkies look like amateurs and Trump looks naive. NO big deal here

He can't get or keep good help? He is autocra htic and powerful capable people irritate him and he drives them nuts and off. He is gradually being surrounded by mediocrities, yes men and washed up neo cons like Bolton and Podhoretz's son in law. Who may get us into a war somewhere yet. He seems to have a healthy aversion to war, which is good.

Here is my big complaint about the guy: He is the last chance for stopping the flooding of the country with millons of new workers every year and he seems to be clueless on the subject. The easy way to stop the flow is to prosecute a few employers in every city so the others will adjust their hiring policies in order to avoid 6 months in the federal clink. He never brings the subject up; my guess is that it would not sit well with the Republican businessmen who hire the illegals. He also does not seem to understand that a guest worker program for ag workers and the like with iimits on how long they can stay and no hope of citizenship (can't vote) would solve a lot of the problems.

I hope I have not offended anybody with my long windedness but we have been beating pretty much the same horses in terms of posts for the last couple of years and a new title seemed timely

Why don't you just admit you like him more as POTUS than you thought you would and let it go at that?

Trump won't prosecute employers who hire illegals because he would be prosecuting his buddies and in a way himself.

I agree with you though. He needs to be clever about immigration because he isn't getting the agreement to build the kind of wall he campaigned about.

More accurate to say I dislike him less because I enjoy the show his opponents are providing. When I was a kid my parents took me to the SA Zoo. They said my favorite was watching the folks on Monkey Island fling zhit at each other.

Always like your let off-kilter posts though I don’t always agree with you. The fact that you can be open minded about Trump puts you in a rare category.

Ummm……... who looks like amateurs and who looks naïve after two years of investigating Russian collusion?
