Some Questions Regarding A&M vs UT and Realignment

I think Missouri has added more to the $EC network than aggy because Missouri has actually won something. All aggy has shown delusion. Texas and ou can walk up to any conference and be admitted on the spot. aggy not so much.

 

If a&m were in a two team conference, your trophy case would be as bare as it is now. Other than a sad case of envy, I'm not sure why you're even here to be honest.

You believe aggy all on its own doubled the SEC revenue?

Lets get something straight. Yes having aggy in the SEC is valuable from a revenue standpoint because it gets TV revenue from Texas which is a huge market, but to think aggy doubled revenue is ludicrous. The SEC was more interested because they believed it would create through viewership inroads for recruiting in one of the most fertile talent pools in the country thus making the overall conference better and more valuable. What they did is USE you in an attempt to make the conference stronger because of the state of Texas and not your beloved university. They counted on the fact that you wouldn't actually bring anything significant from an athletic standpoint. So far they proved their calculations were correct.

 

Having A&M in the conference doubled the number of viewers the network could charge "in footprint" rate. So from that standpoint, A&M is responsible for the increase in SEC Network revenue. If Texas had joined the SEC, Texas would be responsible for that same increase. If UH had somehow gotten into the SEC and A&M and UT were still in the Big 12, UH would be responsible.

The SEC counted on A&M bringing a top-flight athletic program into the conference and all the positives that come with having a presence in the second most populous state in the union. The SEC didn't use A&M anymore than A&M used the SEC. Both entered into a mutually beneficial contractual relationship. Both have been handsomely rewarded.

 

The only word for this paragraph is delusion. No one in the $EC gives a rat's *** about aggy.

 

Although a lot of the fans have begun to see what we have known for a very long time: aggy is a really weird bunch of goobers.

 

So, what program/university is it that you guys are bringing in?

I hate OU. I want them to lose every game. I mean all of them. I have multiple sooner friends. Awesome people But I hate the school.

I like aTm. They're our JV school. They're cute when they talk about us because that's just how competitive little brothers are with big brothers.

Why is there so much aTm hate on here, especially compared to OU? Are you bitter aTm left? I think some of you guys have your hate turned up on the wrong school.

Big brothers get agitated and pissed when little brothers are always picking a fight they cant possibly win. That's what happens with aggy. I don't even think about them until one mouths off about something which prompts me to think, "not this again". It's just aggravating.

Aggsy are extremely happy to be in the SEC and here is the real reason why.

1. They can continuously claim they play in the toughest division and the toughest conference. This is a convenient excuse for winning nothing.

2. Name recognition. They have none, so they sell the idea of playing those that do, LSU, Bama, Georgia, Florida etc. Just hearing their pitch isn't about playing for the name on the jersey, it's about playing the name across them.

3. Money, They were one of the many programs that were losing money, now they are making a profit. The only legit reason for making the move.

4. Shadows. They finally escaped the long dark shadow of Texas and Oklahoma where they can make a new start and get accustomed to the long dark Shadow of Bama, LSU, Florida, and Georgia. Prison bioch is always a prison bioch no matter what prison he is in.

5. The Difference. They finally have a differentiation they can offer Texas recruits over Texas and Oklahoma, however the fine print now reads "Join us in the toughest conference where we can get our teeth kicked in by the toughest teams in the country. Still no winning is no winning.

Hope this clears up the situation with the aggsy.

 

That's a pretty interesting list of sports they chose to measure. Golf, beach volleyball, Lacrosse, etc. No football and basketball? Why not rowing and skeet shooting?

IMO, most of our fans are deeply annoyed by aggy and think of them as little brother rival. Some may despise / hate them but many don't. Post WWII ou has been the bigger rival and more hated.

Many Horn fans have a long & deep hatered for ou. Lot's of reasons but a few are: ou's legendary cheating starting post WWII up & through the Barney Switzer era, spying on UT practices, Jack-*** Brian Bosworth, other douchebag players along the way, their OBNOXIOUS & nasty fans, etc.

Aggy is one of the top ranked cheating programs in college football history. That can go into the empty hall of champions along with their male cheerleader pics.

That list shows the final rankings but doesn't show all of the sports, only the spring sports. The other sports are included in the total but the rankings are listed in either the Fall Final report or Winter Final report depending on the sport. Since not all schools field teams in every sport, the scoring is based on the top 19 rated sports for each school.
