Is Cocaine Mitch putting GND up for a vote to slap these guys around and force them to go on the record? Of course he is. Obviously he doesn't actually want it to pass and know it won't. However, if it's such a grand idea and worthy of debate and discussion, shouldn't they welcome it? It'll give them floor time to discuss it, and while they will be going on the record, so will Republican senators. If it's such a great idea, then use that against those Republicans in the next election. But of course, they know that the more GND is discussed, the dumber it looks and the less popular it will be. That means they'll be on the short end of the stick in the end. They are far better off keeping it entirely in the superficial realm.
