Just checked NWS site, searching on Stillwater, OK, looks like a 10% chance of TStorms until about 7 p.m. tonight, then predicted to be clear later tonight and through Saturday.

Still got a bit of the red *** about the weather in Waco with a 6-0 lead in the 2nd, only to just go poof!

Cowpukes take the series opener 15-0...WTF? Looks like we were down 5-0 in the 7th, then two Longhorn pitchers I've never heard of allowed 10 runs in a disastrous 8th inning. Anyone care to elaborate on this abortion?

I believe coach realized that we couldn't hit the Cowboys pitcher, thus he folded and offered up cannon fodder pitchers, to avoid throwing good money after bad.
    I believe we got 1 hit in 27 AB's....
This is the worst team hitting in longhorn recent history.

If that's his actual mentality then he needs to just fold the season. This offense has regressed since the beginning of the year.

Practicality, as noted by the TV guys.

Game essentially out of reach, bottom of 8th, going double digits, 2 more games up, save other relievers for the next 2 games in which you plan on being better in.

Or just fire Pierce right now.

He's horrible, horrible I tell you. jk.

Wow, I'm pretty sure OSU has beaten the life out of this team. I don't see how they mentally recover enough to end the last 15 games with more than 5 or 6 wins.

Horns are at a crossroads for this season, a national seed and regional host are are not happening and unless they turn things around they will struggle to even make the tournament. Pierce has his work cut out for him these next several weeks.

Texas scored 7 against Lamar with the last score in the 8th inning and we didnt bat in the 9th. We're on 17 straight scoreless innings and about to be 18 with the bottom of our lineup due. We're about to be 29 scoreless innings in Big XII play.

Harry Caray rolled over in his grave because he's still having trouble pronouncing "Incaviglia."

    "Holy cow!!"

    Buck,

We had 2 runs on 9 hits & 1 error

oSu had 10 runs on 9 hits & 1 error

Lots of questions like having runners on first & second with no outs while the game is still in doubt, no bunt, but fortunately the DP only got the out at second. Next batter Ks while we try to steal second for a strike out, throw out, stranding a runner at third.

I didn't count the looking at third strike, but we certainly have set a school record, and probably closing in on an NCAA record.

This game, this series, and perhaps this season can be summed up on one play tonite - oSu batter hits one down the thrid base line; third baseman makes a stab, but misses, then gives up on the play with the umpire 5 feet away from his face signaling "fair ball". LF was shaded to center. Ball comes to rest against third base seats. "Oh, wait, that ball is in play, maybe I should go get it".

Short naps are wonderful, but not in the middle of the game.

I've watched Texas baseball for close to 50 years and never seen a Texas team make so many mental errors.

Lack of leadership? I'm not seeing any.

Lack of coaching? I hope not.

Have the kids given up? If so, why?

Don't talk to me about injuries because I haven't seen any first round picks in a while; besides, I can remember winning it all in Omaha, but having to use 7-9 pitchers, but only having #3 or #4 for the final game.

My suggestion is: whoever coaches hitting, needs to coach fielding and whoever coaches fielding needs to coach hitting.
