Any Game of Thrones fans here? Only two episodes left. Who is your prediction to wind up on the Iron Throne?

I'm going with Daenerys Targaryen, but I think she'll be as mad as King Aerys Targaryen by then. I think Jon Snow will meet a bad end, since he blabbed out the family's incestuous secret that Daeny told him not to tell anyone.

    Love it.

Agree on Dany going mad. 4-5 episodes ago, she'd be the obvious favorite. Jon has the greater bloodline claim though, and the cat is out of the bag, so the people might back him not her. She only has one dragon left and a former slave army still loyal to her. Jon has the backing of most of the others. Problem is Jon doesn't want the throne.

I think Jamie will play a crucial role. He's the king slayer--not just a one-time king slayer, but an all-time all-Kings king slayer. He might even assassinate his lover-sister Cerci.

Top 3 most likely for me: Jon, Cerci, Dany in that order.

Long shots: that Iron Islands woman (Theon's sister), someone from Essos, Jamie, Sansa, Euron Gregyjoy (a total tool), Tyrion.

Bran may not even be human anymore. Can’t see that happening!

Well, Daenerys did go BSC in episode 5, burning down Kings Landing even after it had surrendered, killing thousands of innocents. There may not be an Iron Throne to sit upon.

Now we'll see if she survives the finale. Jon Snow and Arya are probably out to kill her now.

In Daenerys' defense, it appears that Varys had been trying to poison her. Who knows, perhaps she'd even had a few non-lethal doses of poison.

Powerful episode. Dany is queen of the ashes now. Surprised they killed Cerci off. Agree that someone will assassinate Dany. She's worse than the Mad King.

Heard theory that Tyrion must be a part Targaryan bastard since the dragons let him get close to them and seem to like him. No crazier than a lot of other theories out there.

Now big Q--who takes her down?

Yes, if she gets killed, it'll be Jon Snow, but I'll bet even if he does, he won't take the throne. He's said all along that he doesn't want it. I'll bet he'll go up north of the wall with Ghost. He was happy there once. That would either put Sansa Stark on the throne or perhaps, trigger another round of civil war.

This season has gone farther downhill with each episode. At this point it's tainted to me. We'll see if GRRM changes any outcomes for the final book(s).

That seems to be the consensus, but I don't totally agree.

Episode 1, was Dany and Jon trying to round up allies. Laying the ground work for the battle. It was so, so.
Epidsode 2 Was the build up to the big battle, lots of tension and waiting. Arya gets laid. It was ok.
Epiisode 3, The Long Night, was disappointing because you couldn't see half the battle. But, still I thought it was exciting.
Episode 4, was a downer with Missandei getting killed and the dragon going down.
Episode 5, I thought was exciting. It was a shame Dany went bonkers and razed Kings Landing, but I never thought GRRM was shooting for a Disney ending.

GOT has 80 minutes to complete the arcs of major characters like Jon Snow, Dany Targarian, Arya, Sansa, Tyrion, Bran, etc. Either the story arc goes full circle and we wind up with a mad Targarian on the Iron Throne, or a lesser character gets it. If they kill Dany, what do they do with Drogon? We'll see what they do. I suspect no one will be happy with the ending.

This show reminds me of the Lost TV series. They had so many loose threads that you knew they'd never be able to tie them all up. Most people hated the Lost finale. George R.R. Martin even made a crack about not wanting GOT's ending to suck like Lost. Of course, he was mostly talking about his books.

Didn't see that coming and I would say it was like a 16 seed winning the NCAA tourney. Seems fitting HBO would go with the guy in the wheel chair as King of 6 of the 7 kingdoms with the imp at his hand, a woman as Queen of the 7th kingdom, a woman bravely going on an expedition into the unknown to possibly form an 8th kingdom and the man as a leader of the homeless. Maybe I'm reading way too much into this in the most simplistic form.

Congrats to humahuma who called Bran. Bran the Broken! Why not Bran the Three-Eyed Raven?

Technically, the answer to the question "who will sit on the Iron Throne" is nobody. Drogon melted it.

I thought the finale was OK, nothing great. It was almost Disney-ish towards the end. The idea that all of a sudden the kingdoms of Westeros were going to quit their squabbling and all agree on a ruler seems anathema to the previous 7 seasons of the story.

I guess it leaves plenty of room for HBO sequels. A prequel is already started filming.

It was obvious to all fans but the blind and delusional that Dany had gone completely mad (a family tradition) and someone needed to take her out. Aquaman's logical favorite to take the throne (or the kingship/queenship since the throne itself was melted) would have been that Iron Islands woman, Theon Greyjoy's sister--very nautical and sea oriented.

Did you ever wonder who called the council together that crowned Bran the Broken?

Tyrion and Jon Snow were both in prison, so they couldn't have done it. Certainly Grey Worm was in no mood to do it. So how'd it happen?

Why did Grey Worn, who was in control of the city with the Unsullied and the Dothraki, acquiesce? He was killing Lannister soldiers left and right and then all of a sudden, he just surrenders! The North didn't have much of an army left, nobody did. He probably could have crowned himself king if he wanted it.
