Here we go again... the injury bug. First its the clavicle with Kirk Johnson. But just that quick, two more injuries, and too players that are difference makers.
    A. Caden with a rolled left ankle.
    B. Ingram with a " tweaked" left knee.

Just wondering how bad, will they make the opener?
Meanwhile, how about moving a real stud to running back...like Tyler Owens?
20 days to go....can he be ready?

If this “tweak” turns out to be something serious (hopefully not), emergency RB help (aside from J Whitt and Danny Young) might come from Jake or Roschon. Other good candidates would be return men or having a DB go both ways temporarily. I wouldn’t object to trying out Owens or others.

Yeah, Tom didn’t seem overly concerned.
Might be a blessing in disguise if it limits them away from full contact/pads.

The choice of the word “tweak” may imply minor, short term, or insignificant. Hope so.

I hope its minor for both...but Kirk is out 6 weeks...not to minor. Still don't know if the clavicle is just cracked or fractured.
We started with 4 scholly running backs and instead we will open La Tech with 2, unless that "tweak" really is minor.
We need 4 or more to get us through the season. My hope is Jordan is going to tear it up, and and recieve very few clean hits, allowing him to last all season long.

“The sophomore seasons for both Keaontay Ingram and Caden Sterns should start on the field instead of the sidelines.

Texas announced on Monday that injuries sustained by Ingram and Sterns in this past weekend’s scrimmage shouldn’t keep either player out of UT’s season opener on Aug. 31. Ingram, a running back, was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his knee. Sterns, who is a returning starter at safety, suffered a low-grade high ankle sprain.

A Texas spokesperson said that both players are expected to miss some practices. They should return before the Longhorns host Louisiana Tech at the end of the month.”
