In the category of strange and unexpected new cultural phenomenon, there's a nationwide revival of 1960s-70s style "Hawaiian" Tiki Bars going on. They're seemingly popping up everywhere. I think it's good fun, but I wonder how long it will last.

First fondue came back, now it's Tiki Bars, next ... (leisure suits--please no, big 1980s glasses, bell bottoms, white dudes with fros, plaid pants not just worn on the golf course).

I’ve been going to the Hula Hut, on and off, for almost 30 years. Dino had Ocean’s 11 on Red River in 2001, but it didn’t last long.
