Sure didn’t want to see Mack lose. I still love the guy.

 

Great interview by Mack post game. Teared up. Admitted coaching mistakes, especially at the end of the game. Extremely happy for his kids.

 

Thank god Muschamp was never more than a head coach in waiting at Texas. Mack inherited a Tarheels team that went 2-9 last year, by the way. The man still has some game in him...

 

Nice win for Mack. Glad for him. Their freshman QB was impressive.

 

I don't know whether everybody heard this, but at one point in the game, the announcers said Mack sought advice from Lincoln Riley and Kliff Kingsbury on who to hire as offensive coordinator, and hired the guy they both recommended.

Mack looked more alive in that postgame interview than I've seen him look in a decade.

 

So, is Boom now “Head Coach-in-Waiting” for UNC?!?

 

Boom talking smack about our recruiting last year was the last straw for me. Glad he got what he deserves, a loss to a basketball school and a "rivalry" with Texas AM known to no one.

 

I missed that. What did he say?

 

On second thought, instead of "Mack beats Boom," I should have posted: "Mack lowers the Boom."

 

Let a man do what he wants to do. Sometimes a man needs to work at his craft.

 

We did that a lot when he was at Texas, it's just that usually we were on offense at the time.

 

Good job Mack. Unless you play the Horns I’m pulling for you.
